I woke up on the floor of a dark room. Everything was pitch black. I couldn't even tell there were walls or even a floor. I looked around the room but saw nothing.
"Hello?!" I yelled.
No answer.
"Hello?!" I yelled, again.
No answer.
I tried getting up, but I couldn't. I just couldn't move. I was laying on the floor, looking at nothing in particular, when I heard a hiss.
I gasped when it stood in front of me. The giant snake I had dreamed about the day I went to the forbidden forest with Draco.
"Do not fear me, child. I am here to tell you what must happen." It hissed.
I couldn't get myself to talk. I couldn't move. I was helpless.
"You shall be reunited with your father." It slithered around me until it was wrapped around my body, looking right into my eyes. "This will happen by the end of your fifth year." It's voice echoed in my head. It was about to say something else, but the ground started to shake. It snapped it's head up, looking around before turning back to me and lunging itself onto me. Again, exposing it's sharp fangs and slimy mouth.
I jolted up with a loud scream. I frantically looked around, noticing the train had come to a stop. That must be what woke me up.
I shakily got up off the seat, breathing heavily. I wiped some sweat off my forehead and looked out the window. Everyone was already walking off with their families. Hugging their mums and dads. I watched them as I felt a pair of small claws land on my shoulder.
"Looks nice, doesn't it Midnight?" I sighed, regaining my breath.
Midnight rubbed her head on mine. I remembered what the snake said. 'You shall be reunited with your father.'
"What could it mean?" I asked, myself quietly.
"What could what mean?" Said a voice from behind. I jumped and whipped my head around.
"Oh. It's just you, Ginny." I let out a sigh of relief when I saw the ginger standing by the doorway.
"Who were you expecting?" She laughed, motioning me to walk out with her.
"N-no one." I stuttered, walking out of the compartment with her.
"Are you okay? You look a bit... jumpy." She asked, concern written all over her face.
"No- I mean yea. I had a nightmare while I slept on the way here." I told her truthfully.
She walked on quietly for a bit before speaking again. "Was it about Gregory?"
I tensed up at the mention of his name. I looked at the ground and nodded slowly.
How was I suppose to tell her, that I had a dream about a giant snake that told me I was to be reunited with my father by the end of the year?
She sighed. "He won't hurt you anymore. I promise."
"It's not me I'm worried about." I whispered, to myself.
"What?"
"I said... You shouldn't promise me that. L-lets just go get our things."
I got off the train and walked off to get my luggage. I found it under a pile of rather heavy bags that I tried to move but failed.
"Need a hand?" I turned around and saw Fred smiling, cheekily at me. I smiled back.
"Yes, please. Just move the heavy bags over. I can get mine."
