A World of Weathered Faces

Night becoming dawn

Morning sun rising on

The horizon

Noon goes to twilight

The sun less bright

Stars becoming contrite

Stars twinkling

The night sky winking

We know not an inkling

Gravitational pull

Scientists at the hull

What is the toll

We have created out folly

As we destroy flowers and holly

As we make our world colly
