I miss you so

For months you've been away

I think about you every night and day

I reread those words, 

And weep with sadness, joy, and love

My dear friend, I understand

You left with good reason

But dear friend

How I miss you so

I ache for you

Pine and wallow

Please do come back

For in my world

A light has gone out
