Love is something to cherish

To hold and covet

And the ones you love

Should be treated the same

I wish to hold you

I want to kiss your face

I need to be with you

For you give me faith

My love I hold for you

Deep in my heart

But it overflows

And spills over

My heart, how it beats

Erratic and fast

As you near

You are the one

My head thinks

A million miles a minutes

What to say, what to do

Should I draw closer to you?

I love you, yes it's true

When we collide

My heart sets into overdrive

Why do I react so strongly?

I cannot think straight when you are near

Hold him close, kiss his head

Never let him go,

Never say goodbye

Chocolate eyes brighten to hazel

Hair as soft as silk, perfect for fingers

Lips as tender and gentle as a babe's

And as energetic as a pup

Forever is what I want when I'm with him

A life, a future with him in my arms

A ring on our fingers

And a promise to be together.
