Do I?

When you wish for death,

But life keeps calling

Do you follow, or swim

Against the flow of the need

When you wish for love

But seem to receive sadness

And melancholy to the highest degree

What do you do?

Do you fight it? Tooth and nail?

Or let it happen, flow with the waters

Let the sadness sink in

Soak you through and through

Or do you fight to keep dry?

To float, find a raft

Keep your clothes warm

To stay in the light

I reach, yet I drag myself deeper

What is my true want?

Do I want to be happy?

Or do I thrive in the sadness,
