Day 3

I woke up by the sound of my telephone ringing. I stood up and stumbled my way to the kitchen.

“Hello…” I said in a hoarse voice, my eyes still blurry.

“Hey Iza, its Charina… I can’t come to school today.” Sha said in the other line.

“Oh.” I said rubbing my eyes. “Are you sick or something?”

“Y-yeah I’m sick.” Charina said. Weird, but I was still sleepy so I ignored it.

“Well get well soon” I said then yawned.

“Yeah, sorry…”

“Bye.” I hung up.

I was out of the dorm, my frown and glare ready. You are sooo in trouble Stoll. Going to Charmond’s without even telling the gang? Changing my dare and what lying to us?! The others are fine. That’s just plain Jake. BUT LYING? I am so solving this mystery once and for all.

I saw my ride. It’s too early, but Jake’s there with his stupid smirk. I wanna punch it off his face.

“Hey, not a good day for you Ms. Harbour?” He asked clearly seeing my you-are-sooo-dead-to-me expression.

“Yes.” I snapped. “Come with me Jake.” He followed but I just got in to the caddy. So he went to the driver seat.

“Where to Miss?” He asked still smirking.

“How about you drive yourself to a cliff?” I said sarcastically, glaring at him.

He chuckled. “I’d love to do that Miss Harbour but you’ll fall off a cliff too if I do that.” He said clearly enjoying this.

I hissed “Shut up and drive moron.” This stupid, self centered, annoying, cocky, secretive, moronic, jerk--- oh you know what I mean. But I guessed I said that things out loud because laughed .

“You are really pissed aren’t you.” He mused.

“No, I’m so happy right now I want to strangle you to death.” I said sarcastically.

He laughed. I scowled more.

“Breakfast, with me, now.” I said and got out of the car.

I was walking towards the cafeteria, more like the five star restaurant. But then noticed that he didn’t move a muscle. I glared at him then walked toward him.

“What now?” I asked. “Let’s eat breakfast together. You got a lot of explanations to do.” I continued when he didn’t reply.

His face hardened, he’s suddenly frowning, all the cockiness on his gone. Ha! Good, at least I’m not the only one in a bad mood.

“Come on, Jake.” I took his hand. But he didn’t move.

“I can’t” He said firmly, serious. Wow this is the second time I saw him serious.

Suddenly his face changed. Like a TV channel switching from horror to comedy. I wonder how he can do that.

“Hey, I can’t I’m a personnel here remember?” He said like it’s completely irresponsible of me to forget.

I rolled my eyes. He’s face might have changed channels but his eyes still gave him away. He’s clearly hiding something. And I need to find that out.
