Chapter 37: New Best Friend...Wait What?

Hahaha I'm being too generous this week that I've ever been generous for the past 8 months that I've been writing this XD

Haha well I promise this is the last one for this week and I'm gonna be updating the next one next week (Sorry guys can't be that lucky XD)

This is for God again, everything I do's for HIM!

So here it is CHAPTER 37!!

“Alright, now why the sudden visit, Jake?” Anna asked, leaning closer.
    We were currently in her apartment, it was huge and spacious, seems so bright because of the ceiling to floor glass windows. The furniture look expensive with its black, white and red theme. There were different doors with different and artistic designs; Anna told us it was her brother’s idea who was a famous artist. Every door represented something and the designs were really amazing. The place was filled with paintings too, all signed by the same artist. The best one was at the center of the living room, a big family picture with Anna sitting with some older guy, which I presume is her older brother and her parents on both sides. They were all dressed elegantly and were backed up with a maroon colored background.
      We were all amazed to see her house, though I’ve already been to Jake’s mansion which was way more elegant and better in every sense, it still didn’t stop me from being awed at the place.
    “Yeah Anna, I would like to ask you a favor.” Jake said, his eyebrows furrowing. He was seated right in front of us with Ted in the black couch. While we were sitter with Anna in the white one facing them.
    Anna pursed her lips. “What sort of favor? It depends on what you’ll ask for.” Anna said, studying Jake intently.
    Jake shifted from the seat uncomfortably, his eyes glaring at the coffee table in front of us. “Ummm… It’ about Sarah.” He said struggling to mention Sarah’s name, like the very name was a poison to him.
    When Jake’s eyes returned to Anna, they were filled with so much hate I stopped breathing.
    Anna frowned. “Jake… don’t tell me you’ll do…” Anna warned him.
Jake shook his head furiously. “No, no, as much as I wanna do something, I won’t do anything to her Anna, I just… I mean we just need to know if you know where she is…” He grumbled, his fist clenched and his eyes narrowing, his focus on the window this time.
“Jake…” Anna said his name like she was pleading.
“You’re best friends right? And she’s the one that introduced you to me so I really doubt if you don’t even know where she lives right now.” Jake said, pleading and accusing at the same time.
Anna’s face looked like she didn’t really want to say anything.
So she was Sarah’s friend. I thought to myself… And I almost hoped that we could be friends…
“Jake, you do realize that Sarah might have said that I can never tell any of you guys where she went to right?” Anna said in a pained expression.
“Anna, we both know very well what Sarah did, even if you still don’t believe me on what happened… I’m only here to ask a favor, if you can do us a favor… but I know we both know that I can and I will find ways if I want to really find her. ” Jake said in such power that I’ve never seen before, like really meant what he said…
like he can really do it.

Anna’s face looked hurt as she closed her eyes. “Jake you know this isn’t really the time to talk about that…” Anna whispered.
We all didn’t know what to say, what they were talking about sounded intense and none of us can understand what they were saying… but the look on Anna’s face and on Jake’s was giving me a possibility that I really, really don’t want to consider.
“and I know, that’s why it’s better that it’ll come from me… I haven’t heard from Sarah for a while honestly. I don’t know her exact address but I do know where her school is right now. I can give you the name of the school and you can just do the rest. She’s currently in Harrington University, hear she also works part time in this Art Gallery nearby... I haven’t contacted her for so long but I think she still lives by the condominium unit a few blocks from Harrington…” Anna said the rest like she was restless and at the last part her voice broke and she looked down.
“Thank you, Anna, I know this is really hard for you, especially when you’re stuck between this but thank you.” Jake said grateful, he reached out to touch Anna’s hand, smiling at her.
She sighed,“ Your welcome Jake… I’m just making it up to you.” She said and I glanced to see that something changed in Jake’s expression, he suddenly pulled his hand back too.
“Jake about what happened…” Anna whispered.
“It’s okay Anna, it’s been done with” Jake cut her off but she ignored him.
“… I’m really sorry for what happened. ” She continued.
I was stunned when I saw Anna’s face, it felt like I was staring at myself a few minutes ago, in pain and was about to lose it anytime if she didn’t get the hell out of there.
I suddenly pulled her up. Making everyone’s eyes land on me. “Anna just mentioned she wanted to show me her room so…” I announced awkwardly and then dragged her out of the living room.
“Umm Anna, where’s your room?” I whispered and she silently pointed a room with a door with carved sun on the top and the moon on the bottom, the door that caught my eyes the most when we entered.
I nodded and opened it for her, tears were already streaming down her face when we turned around and when I locked the door behind us, she started to sob.
I hushed her, caressing her back while pulling her towards the bed.
I room was beautiful, filled with floral murals in one wall and a big picture of the sun and the moon again beautifully painted on the other two. She had a simple cream colored king sized bed, a desk by the glass window and the wardrobe in front of the bed.
“Shhh… It’s okay.” I whispered every once in a while.
She cried in my arms, making my clothes soaked but I didn’t mind. This girl was in pain and right now she really needed someone, just like I wished I had someone a few hours ago.
When she finally calmed down a bit she pulled back, smiling at me gratefully, her eyes and nose puffy too.
“Are you okay now?” I asked, smiling at her warmly.
She smiled, grateful. “Thank you so much of what you did back there, how did you know?” She asked, sniffing.
My smile grew wider and my heart gave the the familiar ache as I stared at her. “Because I know that was exactly what I looked like when you hugged me earlier, I’m just paying you up.” I said.
She laughed, tears streaking down her face as she did so. “You didn’t owe me anything… but thank you, Liza, we barely met but it feels like you know me whole lot more.” She said her blue eyes looking at me.
“Well maybe it’s because we have a lot of things in common.” I suggested, making us laugh.
“Now that I’ve thought of it, you’re right. ” Anna said smiling at me and we both giggled when we realized that our smiles were like mirrors of each other.
We talked for a few minutes, talking about random hobbies and favorites that we seem to share. I was really glad that I can agree on someone with something and it  was just surprising how Anna and I were like twins, well except for the appearance of course.
“I don’t really want to be nosy but can I ask why?” I asked her after a few minutes.
Her brows furrowed. She hesitated before she answered. “You  really don’t know?” She asked surprised.
It was my turn to look at her confusingly. “I didn’t know what?” I asked but the idea that’s been in my mind earlier suddenly rising up again.
Anna pursed her lips, staring at the mattress. “Well you see Liza, Actually I'm.... Im...... I’m... I'm Jake’s ex-girlfriend… and we broke up after what happened with Sarah.” She confessed, risking a glance at my direction.

My face suddenly went blank,wait she was who?

Well I didn't coz it just popped into my mind just now XD LOL

You must all been wondering, 'Why the hell is she updating so fast all of a sudden??'

Well my only answere to that is because I have so much time in my hand that's why.

And as much as I would like to do this as my daily routine or something, I'm just making the most out of my freetime so I can make up for all the updates I've been missing.

I'm setting my goals on FINISHING THIS BEFORE MARCH, so I can work on my new project that's already posted there ;)

Anyway I had fun with this story and I'm really grateful to everyone I met because of this story.
