Unexpected Love

Next Morning

Zack's pov:

I woke up the next morning with bree on my chest. She woke up and I kissed her head. We got dressed and went downstairs to the sky deck. She wanted to go talk to her friends so I kissed her goodbye and went to go sit at the table with the group. "So... how was your date?" London said seductively. "It was great..." "during the date or afterwards..." cody said. "Very funny... both..." they started laughing. "So are you guys a thing?" Maddie asked. "I think so.... why are you jealous?" "Not even in your dreams..." she said. No matter if I had the hottest girl in the world be in love with me, no one will ever beat the love I have for maddie. Bree came to the table and put her arms around my neck from behind and she kissed my cheek. "Hey cutie..." "hey..." she said seductively. "Guys I like you to meet bree... bree this is london, cody, marcus, bailey, woody, addison, and maddie." "Hey... I'm bree Zack's girlfriend..." she said. Wait what?... girlfriend.... "babe I just wanted to ask if you wanted to hang out today and meet my friends..." she said. Babe... really.... that only works if maddie said it... "uhh yeah I would love to meet your friends.." "great see you later..." she said as she kissed my lips. I sat back down and was kind of shocked. "Girlfriend...?" Cody questioned. "I have no idea... we never even talked about that... I guess she just assumed since we already had sex..."

Maddie's pov:

Zack has a girlfriend now. I'm happy for him... but she seems like she is controlling the relationship and it doesn't seem fair. I don't like it at all. Zack is a great guy and he deserves the best girlfriend anyone could ever ask for. I decided to go talk to zack about bree to see what he thinks. I found him playing basketball in the gym... shirtless... again... I walked in and he made a jump shot. He was always so good at basketball. "Hey..." "hey..." he said. "So... I wanted to talk to you..." "about what?" He asked me as he was passing the ball to me so I could shoot. We used to practice shooting all the time at the tipton. "About bree." I said while shooting and hearing the swish of the ball going through the net. "What about her?" He asked. "It's just.... don't you think this relationship is going to fast..." "ummm I mean not really... well except the part where we became a couple after one date but I don't mind." He said. He took a three point shot and made it.... of course he did... I tried to make the shot but failed miserably... "here let me help you..." he said. He got closer to me and he put his arms around me. He held the ball with me and brought me to the ground a little bit more by bending his knees and then we threw it together and I made it. His hand went down to my waist and it felt warm and strong. Like I was being protected... I moved quickly trying to not make the situation more awkward than it already is... "so... what position do you play on the team here?" I asked trying to change the subject... "I play point guard... and I'm the captain...." he said. After a couple of more shots we went to our rooms to take a shower. After that I went to the lobby for my shift at the candy counter. And this guy kept on staring at me and winking. He looked like a creep... so I ignored him.

Zack's pov:

Its been 3 weeks since bree and I became a couple. She is great and I really like her but she is really controlling. And her guy friends are freaking me out. I went to the daycare to talk to tyler and maddie was their. "Hey maddie... and tyler what's up?" "Nothing... I just came to drop off the new toys for the kids and I thought I should talk to tyler." She said. "Ohh cool.." "so tyler how are you feeling..." "ok... I'm feeling a little better..." he said while coughing. "Tyler....." "I'm ok zack.... you don't need to worry about me..." he said. Maddie kept looking at the conversation between tyler and I and she seemed to feel sorry for him. "I'm gonna go say hi to your mom.. okay buddy..." "k..." he said. I walked over to his mom and said hi. "How is he doing..." "not so well... he is still trying to be strong..." she said. While tears were forming in her eyes.

Maddie's pov:

While tyler was getting his daily shot, I looked over at zack who was hugging Tyler's mom.... she was crying on his shoulder and his eyes started to pour. They talked for a while until zack walked over. He wiped the tears from his eyes and sat next to tyler. "Hey tyler I have present for you..." he said. I could see Tyler's eyes light up. "What is it?" He said in excitement. He pulled out this card with a picture of michael jordan on it. It was signed by him... "no way! Zack how could you afford this!" He said. "A couple extra shifts helped..." he said smiling at Tyler's excitement. They hugged and zack was crying. He tried to hide it but zack can never hide anything from me... "thank you zack... my entire collection is complete... and the second number on my bucket list... 3 more items left for me to accomplish..." he said. "Your welcome buddy..." he said. After that zack and I walked around the boat again and we talked. "That was really sweet of you to buy that for him..." "He has this bucket list... and I swore that I would try to do everything on his bucket list for him before he... you know..." he said with tears forming in his eyes. I saw this vulnerability in him that I've never seen in him before. He seemed more mature and grown up. He looked at me for a while and I couldn't help but blush at him. We walked to the dorms to sleep.
