Unexpected Love

The Storm

Zack's pov:

It was 12am and marcus was still with the girls. I couldn't sleep thinking about everything. I got a text on my phone so I grabbed my phone to look at it. It was from maddie. The text read: 'can't sleep cuz of marcus's snoring coming to sleep with u...' Fuck yeah... I texted her back telling her that it was okay. And she came and knocked on the door. "Hey..." "hey... sorry if I woke you up... I couldn't sleep..." she said. "No you didn't wake me up.... I couldn't sleep either." She walked in and got into her bed. I closed the light and tried to fall asleep. But I couldn't... "maddie..." "yeah...." she said. "Are you tired..." "nope." She said. "You wanna talk because I can't sleep..." "yeah... me either..." she said. She came and sat on my bed with me and we played cards for a while. We both then layed down on my bed and looked up at the ceiling. We started to reminisce about the times at the tipton hotel and started laughing at all of the stupid stunts I pulled. All of a sudden we hear this crash and rolls of thunder. "What was that?" She asked. "I think there is a storm..." "attention all passengers this is not a drill... there is a severe storm. No one is to leave their rooms for anything. If in need, their will be medics posted at every hall. Thank you for understanding. Your captain." the announcer said. "What are we gonna do?" She asked a little frighted. "We have to stay put... are you scared?" She nodded her head slowly. I felt this cold breeze coming from the room and I looked at my thermostat by my window. The heater has been shut down to conserve energy. "There is no more heat." She looked kind of worried. She layed down on my bed and I looked at her. I layed down next to her and I noticed her beautiful blue eyes glare at me. I pulled the blanket on us and she slowly started to drift off into sleep. I couldn't help but notice her beautiful long eyelashes that closed shut during her slumber. She got closer to me and rested her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around her and she layed on my chest. I just watched her sleep peacefully and I couldn't help but smile. The boat shook again causing a bigger ripple affect and maddie woke up again. "What happened?" She said. "Nothing... it was just thunder... go back to sleep..." I got closer to her and she fell asleep again. She started to shiver so I wrapped my arms around her and tried to get the heat off my body to give her warmth.

Maddie's pov:

The next morning after the storm, I woke up in Zack's bed... his big muscular arms were wrapped around me and we were spooning. I could smell his cologne that I bought for him on his 18th birthday. I felt his hand pull my stomach tighter and I just felt protected. He kind of protected me yesterday. He wakes up... "well that's a beautiful thing to wake up to..." he said. "What is?" "You....." he said. I blushed at him but I hid my blush so he won't get the wrong ideas. We both were trying to get off the bed but the blanket got caught on our feet and it pulled us off the bed and onto the floor. Zack landed on top of me...

Zack's pov:

I fell on top of maddie and we laughed a little bit until we both looked into each others eyes. I was tempted to grab her and kiss her... but I have a girlfriend. I moved the hair on her face and I could hear her breath... we both got up and pretended like it didn't happen... but something else happened instead... something I didn't want to happen... not more than I do now... I fell for maddie fitzpatrick. Before I was in love with her. And now... I'm madly in love... we walked out the room and people were cleaning the mess and their were a lot injured. "Omg..." there was a man on the floor who had a board go through his leg... "someone help me!" He yelled. Maddie and I ran to him and I took off my belt. The paramedics were taking care of others so we had to help him. I placed the belt around him and I placed my hand on his leg and I pulled... "maddie I need you to pull out the board..." "what!" She said. "Maddie you can do this... he needs help..." she hesitated for a moment and started to pull the board. The guy started to scream in pain. Cody, london, woody, bailey, and marcus came over to help. The man started to not breath. "His lungs collapsed... cody get me a straw, a alcohol, and a knife..." he grabbed the things and he looked at me. "What are you doing..." he said. "Performing an emergency trachiotomy..." "what!" Everyone said in unison. "Relax I know how... I did some training at the nursery..." I pour the alcohol on his neck and grabbed the knife. I cut a slit in his neck and stuck my fingers through. After that I put the staw in and he started to breath... "thank you..." the man tried to let out. "Your welcome." "Zack... you saved his life..." maddie said. I guess I did... I got a wrap and wrapped it around his leg and gave him some pain killers. The paramedics came and took care of him. Bree came and hugged me... yeahhhh..... "I was so worried..." she said. We hugged for a while...

Maddie's pov:

I saw zack and what he did for that man... and he was amazing... then bree showed up and started hugging him... I kept thinking about the storm and how scary it was. But I was glad that my friends were safe...
