Hidden (Dan and Phil Story)

Chapter 1:

Hidden

* Sophie's POV *

"Mum?...." I whispered quietly. I could see the life drifting from her, she looked so weak and fragile, I was sobbing quietly and my father was gone. Dead taken from me just like that. In a matter of seconds a drunk driver had claimed one of the most important people in my life, and here I was now holding my mothers hand as she held on to the last bit of life left inside of her.

"Sophie... You need to be.. Strong.. For me." She whispered, using all the courage and strength I had not to cry I nodded and kissed her forehead.

"Sophie.. Go call your brother... I want to speak to him... Before I go." She breathed out.

I nodded quickly and stood up choking back more tears, I pulled out my iPhone and pressed his name. The phone rang three times until

'Hello? Who is this? Hello?!"

"Dan..." I whispered letting out a short sob.

"Soph? What's wrong why are you crying?" he asked his voice laced with tiredness and worry.

"Dan.. There's been an accident."

I managed to get out.

"What.. What sort of accident?! Are you ok? What about mum and dad!?" Dan yelled.

"Dad's gone.." I sobbed into the phone. "We were in an accident and a drunk man crashed into us" I said all in one breath. "Dad's gone and mum.. Mum's probably going aswell.." I said letting out yet another sob.

"Oh my God.... oH MY GOD!" Dan yelled into the phone. He started yelling things so quickly I couldn't understand a single thing, it all sounded like gibberish to me.

"Dan.. Please mum wants to talk with you."

"Ok..." He replied uneasily.

I handed my mum the phone and walked out of the room, I couldn't stand to see her looking like this. Bandages covered her body, along with scrapes, bruises and cuts along her face. She had broken ribs and bones, she was also having trouble breathing. It was horrible.

Me? I had two broken ribs, my left arm was broken and had scrapes and bruises along my body. They got hit head on while I only got some of the impact. Why my parents the people who loved and cared for me and Dan had to go so much pain was horrible.

I heard I faint whisper from my mums room and walked in slowly. She still held my phone to her ear and I could faintly hear a song playing through the small speakers. Wait no. This was no ordinary song it was the song my mum had requested be played at her funeral. Tears swelled up in my eyes, as I knew it was her time. I took my phone and put it on speaker and told Dan to turn the music off. He did as told, and the room went quiet. The only sounds audible where the faint shallow breathes coming from my mother and the beeping of the machines attached to her fragile body.

"Take care of each other." she smiled, before taking one last breathe and closing her eyes. Forever.

"Goodnight mum." I cried as I kissed her forehead for the last time. I could hear Dan's silent cries on the other line.

Everything was silent until until Dan spoke up. He sniffled and said

"You're moving in with me Sophie. We need each other now."

Hi there... So that was chapter one. I have a lot planned out for this story so yay. Sorry if this wasn't very long I'll work on that. Please vote and or comment, because that would be nice. :) yeah. That's all.
