The morning of the Ball I sprang out of bed as if my body was an actual spring, immediately jumping out of my bed and running around to get ready to step foot out of my dorm. I shimmied into a pair of athletic shorts and an old tee shirt, throwing on a pair of running shoes as well before I ran over to the bathroom and brushed my teeth, threw my hair up into a messy bun, and grabbed the parcel that held my dress, shoes, and accessories. I tucked the parcel under my arm and ran down the stairs, bumping into something solid at the bottom of the stairs.
"Shit, Britta, are you alright?" George asked, peeling me off of his chest and holding my chin tightly, examining my nose.
"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," I groaned, holding my nose in pain. It didn't hurt too much, and I prayed that it wouldn't be bruised, but with my luck it would. "I'm fine, George, you can stop," I said softly as he tilted my head side to side to see if it was broken or anything.
"You sure?" He asked, releasing my face and looking down at me with a sympathetic look on his face.
"Positive," I answered, placing my hand on his bicep and smiling softly. "I'll see you later, yeah?" I asked, watching as he nodded slowly before I stood up on my toes and kissed his cheek quickly before I began walking out of the common room. I shut the door quietly behind me, since most people were still asleep, and walked down the hallway a bit further before I stopped in front of the empty piece of wall and really concentrated on the room I needed.
"I need a place to get ready for the Yule Ball," I whispered, barely loud enough to be heard from a dew feet away, but loud enough for the castle to hear and present me with the Room of Requirement. I loosened up a bit as I saw the majestically ornate door begin to present itself to me, even taking the few extra seconds to open the door for me. I walked in slowly, taking in the room that the castle had made for us. There was a few bathtubs along the left wall, separated from the rest of the room with little 'half' walls and room dividers, a huge "L" shaped couch in the middle of the room, and a few vanities along the right side wall. I could already see the drawers full of makeup products and hair products on the vanities, as well as the bubble bath and fancy soaps that lined the tubs. I turned to look to my left, seeing a huge wooden wardrobe to hang up our dresses and a matching shoe rack, so I quickly hung up my dress and put away my shoes.
"Hey Britt," Ginny and Hermione called simultaneously from in their respective bath tub. I laughed and dropped all my jewelry onto a vanity before I walked over to the only empty bathtub and drew the water. I looked over at the selection of bubble baths, deciding on the lavender one, and I dumped practically the whole bottle of it in there as the hot water filled up the tub. I made sure that the water was completely covered with bubbles before I quickly stripped and slipped into the tub, all of my muscles relaxing as I sunk down further into the tub and inhaled the sweet smell of the bubbles.
"You excited for tonight?" Hermione asked through the little room divider.
"So excited," I answered, grabbing a bottle of shampoo and slowly massaging it into my scalp.
"What exactly do you get to do since you're a champion?" Ginny asked from the room divider on my opposite side.
"We arrive a few minutes later than everyone else, we get to make a grand entrance actually, and the three, well four this year, champions dance with their partners in the middle of the floor for one song before the Ball actually begins," I explained as I dunked my head back under the water, rinsing the shampoo from my hair. I slathered the bottom portion of my hair with conditioner and began shaving my legs and my armpits, turning when I heard the door open and smiling when I saw Fleur and Angelina walked in.
"Helloooo ladies," I called jokingly, laughing along with everyone else.
"Are you going to leave us any hot water?" Angelina teased as Ginny got out of the tub and wrapped a robe around herself and a towel around her hair.
