THEN

From 7.03 "The Girl Next Door", outside Dean and Ness' Apartment Building, Bobby's Car pulled up. Ness and Bobby got out of the car, still in their FBI suits from the the chapter before.

Ness started to run toward the building, stopping, in denial. "No."

The whole building that had used to contain Dean and Ness' Apartment had burned to the ground, just like Bobby's House from 7.02 Hello, Cruel World. Ness looked breathless, not knowing what to do, horrified and in denial.

From 7.02 "Hello, Cruel World", outside Bobby's House, Bobby's House was burned to the ground, leaving nothing and possibly no one inside.

From 6.21 "Let It Bleed", in TJz, the bar full of Demons were affected by Ness' exorcism over the speakers, trying to pull through. One knocked over a lit candle over onto spilled alcohol on the floor, making the floor catch fire immediately. The fire spread all over the bar as if alcohol or gasoline had been spread before Ness had gotten there. Ness backed away from the Demons and the flames as quick as she could, shotgun in hand.

From 6.21 "Let It Bleed", on the dock outside of TJz, the fire was spreading outside of TJz, all over the dock, blocking the way to any of the stairs to the parking lot or way out, toward Ness, making her back away toward the lake. Ness knew there was no way she could get past the flames, the only exit being the lake behind her, turning around, hesitating, looking back  over the flames, letting herself fall into the water below.

From 8.17 "Goodbye, Stranger", in the abandoned warehouse's crypt, Castiel continued to beat Catty until she was weak and bloody and barely able to stand, kneeling on the floor.

"You want it?" Catty asked. Castiel looked dispassionately at the now exposed Angel Tablet. "Take it. But I know this isn't just about some stupid Tablet. Whatever's happening to you... the Angels... want you to take Sow, right?" Castiel looked at Catty, coldly, expressionlessly. "Fine. But you're gonna have to kill me first." Catty was seriously beaten, bloody and weak. "Cas." She lowered her head. "I know you're in there." Castiel raised his Angel Blade, ready to strike. "I know you can hear me." Catty's voice broke, pleading. "It's me." Castiel took a knee to the ground in front of her, grabbing the collar of her jacket, making Catty look up, blade at the ready, light glinting off the blade. Catty took his other hand, breathing heavily, placing it over her stomach. "Cas, please."

There were flashes of the memories that the gesture had brought Cas back from the edge in 8.17 "Goodbye, Stranger", including teleporting unborn Sabrina out of Catty's belly in the alley, Catty and Cas from 6.11 "Appointment in Samarra", first reuniting with Young Sabrina in 7.23 "Survival of the Fittest", and reuniting in 8.07 "A Little Slice of Kevin."

Catty looked up at Castiel weakly, breathing heavily. "We need you. I need you. I love you, Cas."

There was a moment of silence as they both took in what she had just said. Castiel let the blade fall out of his hand to the floor. Catty breathed heavily in pain and relief.

Castiel was holding the Angel Tablet, still taking a knee on the floor in front of Catty. He placed a hand on Catty's cheek, raising her head to look at him, hesitating, kissing Catty, slowly, turning passionate, healing her as he did, pulling away in pain and regret. "I'm so sorry, Catty." Sabrina knelt in front of Castiel and Catty, wrapping her arms around them, crying. They returned the embrace, still breathing heavily, still overwhelmed. Castiel looked up. "Catty. Sabrina. They're coming. Angels. I have to go. I'll lead them away."
