Jaehee's POV - Thursday, 1:00 p.m - Clothing Store, Itaewon
-
I have noooo idea what's going on, but whatever it is it's scaring me. Something is up. Something big. And i'm not sure if I should tell the others.
After Rome signaled for Yoosul and I to back off a bit and hugged Minji, I heard someone shouting at the other end of the store. It caught my attention because everyone else in the store was quiet and watching the scene between Rome and Minji. I looked around at the others to make sure they didn't see me as I slowly slipped away towards the girl yelling.
"Fools! All of you! They've run into Rome!" The girl shouted. They've run into Rome? Is she talking about us?
"Don't you dare shout at me and get your butts in gear!" Well look whose talking.... "They've already run into Infinite, Se-uh... Seventeen and Rome!" Yup, she was definitely talking about us. No doubt about it. But why?
The girl lowered her phone and walked out of the store without another word. I quickly followed her out, but once I was outside the girl was nowhere to be seen. What the heck was that about?
Shrugging I walked back into the store and went over to the girls who had now all gathered beside Rome and Minji.
"Where were you?" Yoosul whispered to me.
"Outside. I needed a bit of fresh air. This situation is so overwhelming." I whispered back, not wanting to tell the truth just yet and ruin the moment for Minji. I didn't lie, this whole situation is overwhelming, it just wasn't the full truth, by far not the full truth.
"What happened while I was gone?" I asked.
"Not much.. the others came over, but those two have just been standing there hugging each other." I looked over to the two. Rome had Minji standing his arms length away from her with his has on her shoulders. He was looking down at her with a sad smile on his face and Minji was staring stunned back up at him. I'm surprised she hasn't died of a heart attack yet.
"I am truthfully thankful." he finally broke the silence. "You've probably already heard about what's going on, well at least rumors of what's about what's going on with c-clown, but yeah, I haven't been doing the greatest lately and neither are the boys," Oh god. Even though I don't know C-Clown that well, hearing this come from one of the members, let alone the leader, just breaks my heart. "It really means a lot to me to know that we have fans like you out there."
I saw Minji swallow before she brushed his hands off her shoulders and wrapped her arms around his waist. For a second he stood there, stunned, but then he relaxed and lowered his arms around her shoulders, smiling softly.
We all stood there in silence not wanting to ruin the moment.
After what seemed like an eternity Rome spoke up. "As much as I hate to say this, I should probably go... We're starting to draw a lot of attention and that could cause problems for the both of us." Sure enough there was a crowd gathering in front of the store. Minji nodded and looked down at the ground.
Rome smiled and raised his hand to her chin, lifting her head so she looked him in the eyes. "Don't think this is the last you'll see of me." He reached his hand in to his pocket, pulled out a pen and rolled up her sleeve then wrote something on her arm. He gave her one last smile as he stuffed something in her hand and said "get that shirt, then we can go out in partner-look someday." He winked then took off.
No one moved. Well, until Minji started falling, that is. Falling in the sense of falling to the ground, not for Rome. It was too late for that.
We all rushed to her side, catching her just before she hit the ground. "Minji, you alright?" I asked her. She shook her head. Stupid question. Of course she isn't alright.
