Chapter 19

Minji's POV - Saturday, 9:00 a.m - Apartment, Hannam

-

Everyone was still in bed sleeping, or at least I think everyone was still sleeping. We would have to get up soon though if we wanted to go to the TOPP DOGG event today, but after what happened yesterday, I don't think anyone was in the mood to get out of bed.

Absent mindlessly I reached for my phone and opened a chat and texted my brother.

MJ: I'm not feeling very good. I wish you were here.

I shut my phone of and placed it beside my pillow then cuddled back up in my sheets. Suddenly my phone vibrated. I turned around, wondering who would be texting. It wouldn't be my brother, it's the middle of the night back home so he's probably sleeping right now. So.. who texted me?

I picked up my phone to see that I had received a Line message from...

R: Where are you? I'll be right there!

My heart skipped a beat. 

I. DID. NOT.

I DID NOT JUST TEXT ROME INSTEAD OF MY BROTHER.

What do I say now? 

I fumbled with my phone attempting to find something to say. I kept typing something then erasing it and typing something else. Finally I gave up and typed a simple response and quickly hit send before I could change my mind.

MJ: I'm at our Apartment.... in Hannam

I instantly got a reply.

R: Just so happen to be in the area. Floor?

Oh. My. God.

MJ: Fifth 

R: Kay, I'll be there in fifteen.

My heart started pounding. What have I done?

I just killed myself.

I dropped my phone back down beside my pillow and laid sprawled out on my back in my bed.

The fifteen minutes were up so fast, i felt like i was lying there for mere seconds before I heard the faint sound of knock echoing through the apartment.

 I quickly jumped out of bed and ran to the door. I paused for a second wondering what I should say until he softly knocked again.

Not wanting him to have to wait forever I slowly opened the door, still puzzling words together in my mind.

When the door was completely  I looked up at him to see him slightly smiling as he looked at me head to toe. I suddenly became painfully aware of my fluffy panda pajamas. I blushed and giggled nervously as came in and wrapped his arms around me.

"Is everything okay, Minji? What happened." he whispered in my ear as he rubbed my back gently.

"We.. we had a bad day yesterday..." I mumbeled into his shirt. My hands started shaking so I grabbed onto his shirt and I felt the tears coming back up again.

"Come here." he released the hug and grabbed my hand, pulling me over to the couch. "Sit down." He gently pushed me down onto the couch and sat down beside me. "So what happened?"

"We.. Well we kinda met Seventeen and got on good terms with them, but it turns out that someone one of my friends knows and it on very bad terms with works with them and has them trying to get friendly with us for some plan of hers and we found out about it yesterday.." I explained to him. 

Tears started falling down my face. "You liked one of them, didn't you?" he asked me. I nodded silently. He wrapped his arms around, pulling me close and I cried into his shirt. "It's okay. I'm here for you."

"Woah! Woah, woah, woah!"I looked up as someone came into the room just to see a blur of someone running back down the hall she had just come. "Guys! Get up!!" the person shouted at the others.

Rome was also looking puzzled down the hall then turned to look at me and said: "It was the short one with glasses, no offense, I don't know her name." 

"Yuka." I tried to smiled through all the tears.

For a few minutes Rome and I sat there in awkward silence with his arms wrapped around me, holding me so close to him I could feel his heart beat and warmth just like last time.

"What's going on?" everyone came sleepily trudging into the room and rubbing their eyes and stopped dead in their tracks when they saw us sitting together on the couch. 

"Oooooh Minji!" Jitae giggled.

"Why's he here?" Angel asked with a big grin which gave away a bit too much for my liking.

"Hey, you can ask me that, too, ya know, i'm right here." Rome waved his hand at them. "Minji said she wasn't feeling good and wished that I were here so I came." he said innocently. Everyone looked at me smiling. I felt my face starting to burn.

"C'mon guys you're embarrassing her." he giggled rubbing my arm with his hand. I blushed even harder as everyone began laughing while they moved to sit down around the coffee table.

"So, by the sound of it you guys need something to do to get your minds of things today. You guys have anything planned?" he asked them. Everyone went silent for a few minutes until Angel pulled the plan we had made out of the drawer of the table. 

"TOPP DOGG fan event" she announced.

"Yeah, we wanna meet them, too, while we're here!" I sat up excitedly. 

"As long as you don't cheat on me," Rome started saying. 

My eyes widened and I spun my head looking up at him. "What?" I asked not believing my ears.

He smiled his heart melting smile at me. "If you don't cheat on me with any of them," he started more precisely, "I may be able to get all of you a few steps closer to Topp dogg than just the fan event." he winked at me then looked smiled to the others. 

If I don't cheat on him? I sat there in shock. I couldn't speak. I couldn't move. Heck I couldn't think or breath. My heart was racing so fast. 

"Hey now," he pulled shook me lightly causing me to fall into his chest. "Breath Minji, breath. I still need you, girl." he laughed. I finally let go of my breath and took a deep breath, but I still couldn't move.

 "You could really do that for us?" Seuljin asked with a little pitch in her voice.

"Yep, I've met them a couple times backstage and on radio shows and stuff and I get along with them pretty well, so I could maybe talk them into something like a private meet and greet or something."

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK!" Jitae and Seuljin screamed together.

"All you guys have to do is keep this girl in check." he winked at them. I slapped his leg with my free hand and whispered. "There's no need." I croaked out of my throat that had become dry over the past  few minutes. He laughed at me then gently kissed, yes kissed, my forehead. My heart skipped a couple beats.

"Well, go get ready girls! You haven't got all day! It starts at 12, it's almost 10 and you're all still in your pj's and haven't eaten anything yet!" he waved to go get ready then pushed me up off the couch and all they way in to my room. "Wear something... nice.. for me, okay?" he smiled with a wink and started to close the door.

I quickly took a peak at his shirt before he closed the door and saw exactly what I was hoping to see. I smiled and ran over to my cupboard and pulled out the shirt I bought the other day. I pulled it over my head and squished into a pair of black jeans to go with it. I took a quick look at myself in the mirror then headed out of the room back to the living room to be confronted by a smiling Rome.

That moment when you realize you don't understand a single word of math at school, but when you go through it alone at home you magically understand it... gash...
