Chapter 16

Jingya's POV - Friday, 9:30 a.m - Seventeen's Studio, Gangnam

"This way, this way!" Woozi pulled me down the hall. After Doogi PD had returned half an hour later, thankfully without that Changmin character, he told the boys to split up into the sub-units and show us what they do for their training. Jitae and Seungkwan still hadn't returned and no one could reach either of them by phone.

"They'll eventualy come back." Doigi assured us. "Seungkwan knows he has work, so he has to come back soon. Jitae probably just needs some time to calmdown."

So DK, Joshua, Jeonghan, Woozi and I headed off to... wherever it was they're taking me. With Seungkwan and Jitae here, I was alone with the vocal team.

Woozi pushed a door open into a room. "This is where the magic happens." he explained.

"Woah..." I looked around with wide eyes. There was a desk with a computer screen and a synthesizer on it. On either side of the desk were keyboards and there were multiple microphone's and other instruments scattered around the room.  Amazed I walked over to one of the keyboards and absentmindedly started playing the chorus medley of 'Adore U'.

"Geunigga nae maleun neoreul da algo sipeo" Jeonghan sang along. Instead of letting Woozi sing his part I jumped in and sang it for him. "neoreul noraehae Uhoo neoreul noraehae Uhoo!" I smiled at him cause he looking at me frustrated. 

"Oh!" Seokmin exclaimed "she's gonna end up taking over all you parts!"

Joshua laughed. "She's gonna end up taking over you!" Woozi glared at him. "Nonononono! That's not what I meant! You know I would never say something like that in that context! You know me!" he tried to save himself. 

"Unfortunately." Woozi sighed. "I'll let you off the hook this time, but don't expect me to be as generous next time." Then the door flung open and Doogi came marching in.

"Soooo... how's it going here?" he asked.

"Jingya is taking over Woozi!" Seokmin announced receiving the Woozi death glare. "You're next." Woozi muttered to him.

"Um, okay then. Seungkwan just contacted me. He said they'll be here soon." 

"Ahh. That's good to hear. Whatever was wrong with Jitae, I hope she's better now." Jeonghan said. Definitely mother material. 

"You play the piano?" Doogi asked me. I realized I was still standing beside the keyboard with my hand on it.

"Um, yeah." I nodded. 

"Play something for us." Woozi told me with a smile. I couldn't resist that smile. But what should I play. Playing the full version of 'Adore U' would be kinda boring for them since it's their song, although they'd probably appreciate it. Should I play some other K-pop song? Nah.. They know most of that stuff, too. How about something classical? Mozart? Beethoven? Chopin? Everyone knows those, too. Hmm.. maybe...

"Don't wanna?" Seokmin asked.

"No, it's not that. I'm just not sure what to play. Asking me to play 'something' isn't easy. There's such a huge selection." I told them. "But I think I have something now." 

I pulled the chair over with a big smile on my face and started playing what sounded like the beginning of Beethoven's 'Für Elise', but was actually the song 'For Beethoven' arranged by this amazing YouTube pianist. The song was so amazing, when I first heard it I just had to learn it myself. Within seconds I was drifting off into that other world I enter when I play music. My surroundings melted away. There was only me, the keyboard and the beautiful sound of the piano.
