Chasing Shadows (Lego Ninjago)

Chapter 15: Gear up

"What is that? It looks like the symbol from the cave" Jay stood behind Reanne and Lloyd also staring out the window and towards the forest.

"Seriously?" Kai walked up to Jay and stood beside him "That's because it is, Jay!"

"Yes, that is defiantly the same logo that we saw the other day. I am sensing a lot of dark radiation coming from that location" Zane informed.

"That must be where Shyldari is" Cole put in.

"Wildwood forest, back where the Hypnobrai built my treehouse" Lloyd added the extra information.

Soon, everyone was gathered around the window looking at the forest. Since it was night, there wasn't much to see, but the pine trees were all closely compacted together, around the east of forest was the most crowded. Also, that part of the forest was a lot darker, the Ninja could see a faint, eerie, black, mystical fog rising like smoke out of chimney.

The moon created a glow across the woodland for where its position was in the sky making the wood look like it was out of a horror movie. All that was needed now was a stereotypical howl of a wolf.

Everyone was put into silence, their brains gears turning on some kind of solution or idea to this forest, well, at least they now knew where the Shadirians were. The deafening quiet was broken when Misako entered, carrying several items in her hands.

She spread them out across the desk in the centre of the HQ; 3scrolls, a black gem, the note that had given the Ninja the clue about Reanne in the first place and 2photographs. The Ninja gathered around the table, Cole squeezing his cousins hand before resting them on the surface.

"So, what you got?" Cole asked.

"This black sapphire" Misako held up the jewel "Can only be used by the Ninja of Darkness. It's said that when in contact with a Rapier or Claymore Sword it'll only then be powerful enough to destroy the Shadirian leader" She placed the small gem in the palm of Reanne's hand, which she grasped whilst holding it to her heart and then admired the gem, looking down.

"It's beautiful" She gaped examining the precious jewel that was a kite shape, it had a small 'R' engraved at its base.

Misako took one of the scrolls, which had a smaller one inside. She took the lager scroll and unravelled it, reading what it said aloud;

With the touch of the Blade,
Ninjago's fate shall be made.
Either a battle to be lost or won,
Follow in destinies fate or great evil will come.
Unavoidable is this fight,
For all will be put into deadly fright.
Not for her friends to save,
Or their lives will perish and fade.
Aching eyes, her grieving heart,
Leave like the dark to depart.

"That sounds like a fight" Kai spoke his mind.

"It must be the prophesied battle between the Purple Ninja and Shyldari" Zane stated.

Misako grabbed the smaller scroll and opened that one up aswell, revealing a picture in a thick, black, ink. The painting was a huge shadow rising over the top of Ninjago, with smaller shadows either side, there was then a image of a Ninja holding a Rapier Sword in the centre with light coming out of it and across the City.

Once everyone had a couple of minutes to take in the images and texts they'd seen so far, Misako then moved onto the second large scroll, when what was draw on it was shown it was clear to see it was a map. The map was of the inside of a fortress, showing the different levels and rooms, this was also scribbled in the midnight ink, in the top corner was that logo with the burning hawk. There was ancient symbols wrote in the top corner that when translated into English read 'Halls of Darkness'.
