I was going to miss everything about my room, but most of ask I was going to miss my mom. But I had to do this.
I had to run away.
I brought out my improvised rope made of bedsheets tied together from my closet a and brought out my shiny new credit card from my vanity and put it in my jean pocket. I tied the rope to a hook near my open window. I prayed it would hold, I wished I could just take the front door but my mum fell asleep on the couch and if she heard the door click she would wake up and my plan would be ruined. With a final glance I began to slowly climb down. My sneakers touched the earth with a soft thud. I walked to my Honda car and opened the door I looked at the back seat to make sure my bags were still there they were.
I pulled out of the dusty driveway of my old Kansas farm house and drove to the nearest airport. I reached there half an hour before my plane to Connecticut took off. I removed my bags- a duffelI bag and a big red suitcase with wheels. I gave the lady in front my flight details. After that I sat down on one of the metallic chairs and looked at the flight schedule board. It was a few minutes till the ten'o'clock flight to Connecticut boarded. I let my blonde head rest on the cold mel as I waited there were many people around, probably on the same flight with me.
The last time I took a plane it almost crashed because of my ability. Soon the computerized voice announced my flight boarding. I grabbed my luggage and headed toward my gate. I went through the norm and soon I was on the plane my seat was a window seat. A bald man and an old lady sat next to me. Soon I felt the plane begin to rise and what I was doing hit me. I was running away. I was leaving again. I began to drift to sleep.

"So mom for college I'm considering Yale, Priceton, you know the Ivy Leagues. Miss Moscowitz says I've got the brains for it and Dr. Dubran has written me a recommendation for Yale, don't you think it was beautiful" I say to my mom as she cuts her chicken.
"I did think it was beautiful dear, with graduation a month away." She smiles I look just like her. Blue eyes, curvy stature, tan skin. The only thing we don't share is my blond hair that I get from my father.
"Those are good choices kiddo." He says.

"I got accepted! I can't believe it!" I scream running into the living room clutching an envelope. My mom is watching T.V there.
"Ray I think you should sit down." She says she sounds as if she has been crying. Her eyes are red and puffy.
"Mom what's wrong?" My happiness at being accepted by Yale disappearing.
"It's your father he's dead." She chokes out. The acceptance letter drops from my hand and I begin crying.
"No! I just saw him days ago." I say in between sobs.
The lights start to flicker

"I'm moving to Connecticut next week." I tell my mom.
"You can't."
"Why?"
"You can't control your powers, you can go to a community college here where I can keep an eye on you." She replies.
"Mom this is my dream, to go to Yale, get a degree become a doctor, you can't take this away." I say calmly but my ability betrays me. A small line electricity crackles between my thumb and index finger. I pull my black leather gloves from my pocket and put it on.
"See what I mean, you are not going and that's final." My mom says calmly and firmly.
"If you don't trust me enough to let go. I don't think I could ever trust you." I say and storm out the front door.

I wake up to the sound of the pilot saying we have landed. I take my carryon from the compartment above me and I take my purse and exit the plane. I wait to pick up my luggage after collecting it. I rent a car a Honda~ like my car~ paying with my credit card. My dad left me with a pretty figure in his will. A few minutes after driving I see a figure in the distance as I get nearer the figure turns out to be a boy as I wonder why he is lying by the side of the road. I stop the car and come out. On closer inspection I find out that he is bleeding from his stomach.
I gasp. I know I have to help him "Come on buddy I'm gonna get you to the hospital," I say as I help him up. "What is your name?" I ask keeping my hand on the wound.
"They're coming." Is the only thing he says in a hoarse whisper.
