Keiko's P.O.V

I must admit, it hurt being treated so coldly, but I just can't help it, she's just so... interesting.

It makes me wonder what made her so cold. I know that I should probably leave her be, but I can't, curiosity killed the cat.

I'm definitely going to ask her once we meet up at the library today.

Time skip

School was finally over and the students were relieved as they happily collected their belongings and rushed out after the teacher.

They were probably not even going to bother working on the project today. I took my bag, slung it over my shoulder and walked out of the class heading straight to the library.

I kept thinking about that girl er- Akemi while walking down the hallway.

There's something weird about her, about the way she acts. It all seems so, fake? She's cold yes, but sometimes for a split second I see a flicker of kindness in her eyes.

I'll just have too see for myself. Finally, I arrived at the library, and Akemi was already there.

"Oh hey you're here," I said, stating the obvious.

She looked up from the book she was reading and glanced at me then slammed the book shut.

"Let's just get over with it".

After a while of discussing the project, I took my eyes off of the book in front of us and looked at the side of her face.

I hesitated at first, but then I finally got the courage to ask.

"Why are you so cold to others?"

I was just curious, but her reaction surprised me. A sad look appeared on her face, slowly turning into anger and frustration.

"None of your business," she said with that cold voice. She stood up and gathered her things.

"That's it for today, we'll continue tomorrow". She walked out not even sparing me a glance, her glossy eyes were locked on the exit.

Wait... glossy? Oh no... I almost made her cry.
