3rd Person's P.O.V
It was currently the weekend and Keiko was at the bookshop looking for a certain book. After he finally found it he mumbled a,"There it is," and picked it off the shelf.
He soon left the shop after buying the book and started walking down the sidewalk while looking at some shops.
He was just aimlessly looking around with one hand in his jacket's pocket until something caught his attention.
He had his vision locked on something small and shiny. He looked up and down at the shop and after thinking for a moment he finally decided to enter.
Keiko's P.O.V
I can't believe that I entered a girly accessory shop.
I looked around for the object that made me stop in my tracks a few moments ago and I found it.
I walked towards it and picked it up for a closer look.
The silver bracelet shone under the sunlight and the charm that was attached to it made a smile appear on my face.
Flashback
"Akemi, what are you doing?" I asked a very busy-with-her-phone Akemi only to have her wave a hand in front of me without looking away from the screen and almost slap me in the face.
I quickly leaned back and asked the same question again. Yet, I still didn't get an answer.
I was getting annoyed quickly so I leaned over her shoulder to look at her screen and I saw that she was watching an intense anime fight that apparently had her on the edge of her seat.
"Watching anime again?" I asked, a stupid question indeed.
"Yup," the answer was pretty obvious.
"Is this the anime that you told me about, your favorite one?" I asked again.
"Yup!" I got the same answer.
End of Flashback
I walked out of the shop with the bracelet warped in a pink box, thankfully, the shopkeeper gave me a bag to place the box into so I won't be embarrassed.
I'll give the bracelet to Akemi tomorrow at school and hopefully she'll like it!
Time Skip
The next day came pretty quickly since I had spent most of yesterday reading that book that I bought.
It was so interesting that I soon forgot my surroundings and got way into the book.
At this moment Akemi and I were sitting in our class while the teacher lectured the students with a stern, but boring tone.
My eyes were glued to the clock that was hanging on the wall above the whiteboard.
Only three more minutes till this class ends and then it's lunchtime.
Just like that, the bell rang when the three minutes passed and almost everybody started collecting their belongings and waited for the teacher to exit.
After the teacher walked out, the classroom was soon filled with the conversations.
Some walked out alone while some in groups.
Akemi was about to go out when I remembered the box that was placed inside of my bag.
"Akemi! Wait a sec!" I called after her.
She turned around and looked at me with her eyebrow raised,"Yeah?"
Akemi's P.O.V
What is Keiko doing? He's searching through his schoolbag like a mad man.
After a short period of confusion, he suddenly stopped and said,"Aha!" and pulled a pink box out of the bag.
I was still confused.
"What's in there?" I asked.
He took the small box in both of his hands and walked closer.
"Well, you like anime right?"
I nodded.
"Well, I was walking down the street and saw something that I thought you might like, here!" he said offering me the box. I took it from his hands and placed it on my own palm and used the other hand to open it.
On the inside was a shiny chain and a charm of my favorite anime character was hanging from it.
"Woah!! Thank you so much! I never thought that shops sold merchandise here!" I said with a big smile.
"Haha, you don't need to thank me!" Keiko said.
Unknown to us, some classmates still hadn't left and one of them was looking our way with a surprised and amused expression.
She walked up to us and stood a few feet away.
"Wow, I didn't know that you two were a couple!" her voice echoed through the room.
Keiko and I froze in our places.
"WHAT?!" we both yelled simultaneously. My face started warming up and I was sure I looked like a tomato in that second. I looked at Keiko and he looked the same as I did.
Then we started denying what the girl said.
"No, no, no, you got it all wrong! We're NOT a couple!" I said.
"Yeah! We're just friends!" Keiko then added.
The girl giggled, apologized and then left.
The both of us stood there for a second before Keiko muttered something.
...
...
...
"Well, that happened."
I laughed and walked out with him following behind me.
As I walked down the hallway to the cafeteria I thought about how impossible it was for us to be a couple.
Just... no way!
