Jackson rubbed his temples and squinted at the textbook print in the glow of his desk lamp. It wasn't the light that bothered his focus, however. Rather, it was the thought of Leah walking away that distracted him from reading. He had watched many girls walk away, what else did one see in the hall or on the street? Yet he had never felt this before. There was a feeling of emptiness and loss. He kept seeing her walk away, upset, and in his mind he kept screaming to her. Come back! I need you! But she just kept...walking.

Jackson got up and turned his lamp off, but quickly turned it back on when he saw a little white pasty neat paper hanging out of his bag. He reached down and rolled it open from the perfectly folded half it was. He sat down on his bed, taken aback by the words he read. Someone was in love with Jackson Guthy.

Leah waltzed into Mr. Ball's room.

"Hey girl! you got that letter?"

"sure do!" Leah giggled unzipping her bag resting on a desk. She smiled as she rustled through her bag and folder, but it wasn't where she left it. She sighed still smiling at Mr.B reassuringly. After she went through every pocket and folder and binder she sunk to the floor distressed. Her breaths were heavy and sobs were approaching. She felt them but she stopped them in their tracks and swallowed them whole.

"Welp, i just lost my letter confessing every feeling I have ever felt for Jackson"

Jackson sat in the auditorium waiting for Leah to arrive, he had to let her know what he wanted to say. She walked in looking quite disheveled.

"hey jack, i. um. need. to"

"don't say a word, i gotta show you something"

He took her hand and pointed to Mr. Larkin who was on the piano. He pulled her into his chest and started to sway and sing. He sang "Hey you" by Boys like Girls. She got lost holding his hand, and her face in his shoulder, she wasn't sure if everything was really happening. All she knew is that this was now and she didn't want to leave the moment. They were still swaying when the song ended. Jackson whispered in her ear,

"I know it was you,the letter, I found it, I found you"

Leah looked up into his dark beautiful eyes and moved in closer. His lips were pressed softly upon hers creating the perfect heaven. Everything he didn't say was in the kiss, and Leah comprehended the unspoken truths.

He lifted her face up, and stroked her cheek.

"I'm so glad I found you"
