Chapter 22
Dexter's POV
Once we land on Satera, the other Felinite- whose name I do not know- drags me off the craft floor where the Edacion warriors last left me. He begins to lead me off the craft, not restraining me in any way, leaving me an opportunity to escape. I wait, expecting him to grab my arm at the least. He never makes any move to keep me from running or fighting my own capture.
I begin planning my escape immediately. King Iago and King Sebastian are already off the craft and far in front of us. The Edacion warriors are right on their heels, keeping them guarded. As long as I do not make any noise, they will not notice I am gone until it is too late. I can easily take down the Felinite at my side, never making a single sound and probably keeping him from making any as well. The only problem I will have is taking Priscilla and Shadow down before they raise any alarm.
I start mapping out my actions as we walk through the corridors of the craft. I can cover the mouth of the man beside me and... My planning comes to an abrupt stop when I hear the pattering of paws hitting the floor as someone comes running toward us.
Priscilla slaps the other Felinite on the back of the head when she reaches us. "You are an idiot, Bonnie" she reprimands him.
"What did I do?" the man, Bonnie, asks holding his hands in front of him as if to shield himself from Priscilla's anger.
"He was about to escape," she says, gesturing to me. Then she slams her hand on my shoulder, digging her claws into me so deep that if I were to run I would create a huge gash in the skin under my fur.
"Ouch," I complain at her.
She smiles at me mischievously, "So sorry," she lies. Then she turns to Shadow, still somewhere behind us. "Come help me restrain him. He could probably overpower me in seconds."
He nods before rushing over to us and grabbing my other arm. Unlike Priscilla, Shadow does not dig his claws into me. He just grips my arm hard enough to remind me that I cannot escape.

I am led to the dungeons, far below the main floors of the Tower, the Edacion castle. Priscilla pushes me roughly into one of the cells while Shadow watches her lock me behind the sturdy iron door. The cells are all thick, solid metal walls. There is no furniture in the tiny cell and from what I can tell there is also no way to get water or food. Unable to see through them, I listen carefully, trying to see if I can figure out who is watching me and if there will be multiple people.
"You should go stay with the kings," I hear Priscilla say to someone I cannot see but can only guess to be Shadow. "You are really the only guard hear with any sense. The Edacion guards will leave King Sebastian and King Iago vulnerable."
"Are you sure you will be alright down here by yourself?" Shadow asks worriedly, confirming my suspicions.
"Of course I will be. Dexter is securely locked behind a solid wall of metal. There is no way he could possibly harm me," she replies unconcerned.
"What if someone comes and tries to break him out?" Shadow asks, still unconvinced.
"I doubt anyone will make it all the way down here. Even though most of the Edacion warriors are on Filinus, there are at least two guards at each gate. And I do not think anyone will be coming to save him anyway," Priscilla answers.
"Ok, if you are sure then," Shadow relents. There is a pause before I hear the patter of feet as he leaves. He probably took a moment to give her a quick kiss- something I noticed they did a lot of- before he left.
