"What do you want, Parineeti?" Apsara's tone raised, as she realized that her sister wasn't the kind of a person that she thought.
"I need answers," She stated.
"I guess I don't have enough answers to say to the stories that you fabricated..." Apsara spat.
"Oh that? That was just a part of my move.." She calmly spoke.
"What move?"
"Nothing that you should be aware of, my dear sister..."
____
"I don't understand why you're doing this to me..." Apsara yelled, covering her face with her palms, slowly sinking into the pit of emotions.
"Are you really in love with King Zayn?"
"What are you talking about? Have you lost it, Parineeti?" Apsara's eyes widened, as she stared at her sister as if she was speaking garbage.
"Answer my question, Nandini," Parineeti sternly spoke, calling her by her real name, "are you in love with him?"
"No! I am not!" Apsara said, like a confession, which she knew deep in her heart wasn't true.
"Are you sure? Have you ever, even once, felt like you were giving into his impossible beauty?" She asked, folding her arms, making Apsara all the more confused as to why, Parineeti was so curious about her current relationship with the Lahori King.
"I am sure when I say this, I have never even once had that magical feeling while looking into his eyes..." Apsara said, not being true to herself. Her conscience was cursing her for telling things that she knew weren't true.
Apsara was a believer of honesty. She'd been told it might seem easier to lie, at first... but the more you lie, the more difficult it gets to tell it. Sticking to her ethics on honesty, she was regretting the fact that she'd been clearly bluffing about her feelings.
She knew somewhere, deep in her heart, she had a place for Zayn, despite her horribly bitter experiences with him.
She had felt the magic when she looked into his eyes, those aurulent pair of eyes which she loved the most, which dreamily looked into hers... fluttering slowly as they took in each others presence. She remembered every moment she'd had looked into his eyes, as an awkward silence filled between Apsara and Parineeti.
Her only concern was about the King's feelings towards her. Did he just see her as any other woman he saw?, she bet he did. But all her predictions went wrong the day he openly admitted that he loved her.
She did what anyone at her place would do... ignore those emotions that she held for him. She knew it was unethical to love another while she already loved one, Zafar. During many occasions, when she would only thinkof Zayn, she'd immediately cringe at her thoughts, call herself unfaithful, and would chant in her mind that she only loved Zafar, and no one else...
But that day when she forgot everything and kissed the King that night, this time not forcefully, she enjoyed it. Although she felt guilty, a part of her mind kept telling her that it was right.
But then again, she ignored all her feelings for Zayn, out of the fear of being disloyal.
And saying yes to the marriage, when Zafar proposed her was only because she wanted to get Zayn out of her mind. She didn't want to waste her time thinking of someone who only wanted her physically, she wanted a partner like Zafar who knew her in and out, more emotionally than physically.
