They finally disunited their lips, after like 15 minutes of making out. They needed that, they really did. Kensi was blushing and was breathless. Deeks just stared at her.
- So, wow, I guess that just happened. - Said Kensi, in an awkward tone, smiling.
- It was about time. - Said Deeks, with a huge grin on his face.
- Yeah. - Kensi smiled.
- I just really can't wait for you to leave this damn hospital bed, so I can show how you bright the sun is shining outside, now that you woke up.
- I'll be looking forward for that. - Said Kensi, while Deeks squeezed her hand and kissed it. They were interrupted by the doctor.
- Miss Blye, I'm glad to see you awake! You were really strong through out this process. - Said the doctor, with a wide smile.
- Thanks, Doc. - Thanked Kensi, proud of herself.
- So hum, when can Kensi go home? - Asked an impatient Deeks to the doctor.
- That's actually the reason why I'm here, fellows. I need to check your blood pressure and heart rate, so I know when you're able of leaving this hospital. - Informed the doctor, looking at Kensi's heart rate monitor and feeling her pulse. - Yup, everything seems normal. Miss Blye is, indeed, a tough one. She obviously can't go home today, 'cause she just woke up from a two week coma, but she's good to go tomorrow morning! I'll make sure the nurses know of your medical release for tomorrow.
- Thank you so much Doctor, for everything. - Thanked a relieved Kensi.
- You're welcome, it's my job to fix people. And you did half of the work yourself. You fought to live, and that's the most important part in this kind of processes. Take care. - Said the doctor, as he left the room.
- I'm so proud of you, Kens. - Said Deeks, as he played with Kensi's hair. - You're the strongest person I have ever known.
Kensi smiled. It meant the world for her to listen that kind of things from the person she loved the most in the planet.
- Are you hungry? - Asked Deeks.
- Are you kidding me?! I haven't eaten in two weeks, I'm starving. - Said Kensi, laughing.
- Stay here. I'll be right back. - Said Deeks, getting up.
- It's not like I'm gonna walk out of the hospital. - Laughed Kensi.
Deeks came back half an hour later with two bags of "Yummy Yummy Heart Attack" in his hands. He knew how much Kensi loved those things, and so did he. When he opened her room's door, she was on the phone with Sam.
- Thank you so much. I'll be waiting. See you. - Said Kensi, hanging up the phone.
- Who was it? - Asked Deeks, putting down the food in the chair and taking off his jacket.
- It was Sam. They got the guy. - Smiled Kensi, relieved.
Deeks hugged her.
- I'm so glad they got the son of a bitch. He can't hurt anyone anymore. - Said Deeks, relieved as well.
- Yeah. Callen and Sam are on their way to see me. - Said Kensi.
- Well, too bad I didn't bring "Yummy Yummy Heart Attack" for them. - Said Deeks with a big grin, as he opened the bags.
- Oh my God, I love you! - Said Kensi, only realizing what she had said a second later.
- I love you too. - Deeks smiled and so did Kensi. - Now, what do you see we take care of these babies? 'Cause they're not getting eaten on their own!
- Hell yeah, I missed this so much! - Exclamated Kensi, sitting in the bed and picking up a plastic plate and a fork.
They were almost finishing their meal when Callen and Sam knocked on the door.
- Mind if we come in? - Asked Callen, happy to see that Kensi was safe and sound.
- Come in, guys! - Said Kensi, happy to see her friends.
The boys hugged Kensi and they even stole a bit of Deeks' Yummy Yummy Heart Attack.
- We're so glad that you're okay! - Said Sam.
- Thanks, and I'm glad you got the guy! Guess he's not hurting anyone else now.
- Damn straight! - Said a happy Callen.
- Guys, we gotta go 'cause we still have to fill in some reports that Hetty asked us to, but she's happy you're okay too. We all are. - Said Sam, in a serious tone.
- Yeah, thanks. Drive safely! - Advised Kensi, as the boys walked out the room.
- And I guess we ran out of food. You still hungry? - Asked Deeks.
- Nope. Right now all I wanna do is sleep. I know I spent like two weeks sleeping, but I don't know, I just feel so tired. - Yawned Kensi.
- Well, that's normal. You just got shot Kensalina, it wouldn't be normal if you wanted to go party. Tomorrow you'll feel better, I promise. - Said Deeks, sitting back in his chair.
- Hey, Deeks. Can you do me a favor? - Asked Kensi, nervous.
- Anything. - Replied Deeks.
- Can you spend the night? I'm sorry to be asking you this, it's just that, I really don't wanna be alone tonight. I totally understand if you wanna go home, though.
- I wasn't planning on going home, anyway. - Said Deeks, squeezing Kensi's hand harder. - I'm not leaving your side, Kens.
- That means a lot. But it's cold out there. It's warmer in here, with all these blankets, you know...
- Kensalina Marie Blye, are you inviting me to your bed? - Asked Deeks, lifting an eyebrow.
- This is, if you want to. If you don't, I totally get it, I can borrow you one of my blankets and you can sleep in the chair.
- No way! - Exclamated Deeks, while taking off his shoes and getting inside the bed. It was a really small bed.
- It is pretty cozy in here, isn't it? - Said Kensi, flushed by the fact that she and Deeks were so close to each other that she could almost listen to his heartbeat.
- Yes, it is. - Said Deeks, kissing Kensi in the lips, and then in her forehead. - Goodnight, Kens.
- Goodnight, Deeks.
