Grounded. Seriously?!?! Can she even do that?

"Again, why am I grounded?" I asked Mom, crossing my arms in front of my hoodie.

"Because you ruined MY room," Josh interrupted.

I turned to him. "I don't think I was talking to you." I sighed and faced Mom again. "So why am I grounded?"

"Because you ruined his room." She was in a low-cut, black dress. Is she going out?

"So? HE TURNED MY WHITE CLOTHES PINK!" I shouted. Why isn't he in trouble? He started it, didn't he?

"You know what your problem is?" She asked bitterly.

"No, Mother, what is my problem?" I replied, using the same tone.

"You always have to get even," she said as if it were obvious. I rolled my eyes.

"What about my stuff?" Josh asked. I wanted to say that no one cares but I held my tongue.

"Don't worry. Lina will pay you every penny to redecorate your room."

"Lina's going to do what now?" I asked.

"You heard me. Now," she said kissing my forehead. Ew. "I'm going out, don't stay up too late." So she is going out! Aha!

And with that, she left, leaving me with Josh.

"You know I ain't going to pay you for shit," I told him.

"What is your problem?" He asked.

"Well you heard my mom, I always have to get even."

"No, what's really your problem? I didn't do anything but be nice to you."

I narrowed my eyes at him. "Why don't you go back to where you came from cause no one wants you here," I suggested angrily.

"Your mom seems to want me here." He shrugged.

"Fuck my mom. What does she know?"

"I'm sorry okay?" He said. "I'm sorry your mom is never around and because of that she turned you into a bitch." What did he just say? I didn't think twice before my fist connected with his nose. It wasn't my best punch but it was good enough to make his nose bleed so that made me satisfied.

"Fuck you, Josh. When you see me around the house don't talk to me and when you see me around school turn the other direction." With that I ran upstairs slamming the door
