Points For: Uh...they get to battle in countless battles. ALTHOUGH...Torchic actually never battled Roselia. At least when it was a Torchic. It finally battled Roselia when it evolved into Combusken.
Points Against: They belong in different Egg groups, meaning they are not capable of making babies.
