I almost got lazy to do this part because TamashiiHiroka pretty much explained what needs to be explained in this ship. (media)

This is dedicated to DjFennekin, who suggested that this ship should get its own part.

Well...it does deserve the part, so here ya go!

RocketShipping

Involves: Jessie and James

Reaction: Team Rocket.

They've been in almost all the episodes of Pokémon. It's one of the first ships in Pokémon.

Some people think they may be gay, specifically James.

But who knows?

He might act 'gay', but actually isn't. There are some people like that.

So of course, other than Tamashii's video, I will use bulbapedia as a reference.

Apparently, there are sects of Rocketshipping.

One: Rocketshippers. The ones who think that James and Jessie are currently not in love, but they believe that they will fall for each other eventually.

Two: R*cketshippers. They believe that they are already in love with each other, and they don't like it when people say James is gay.

Three: Queershippers. James plays as a woman. Jessie plays as a man. They fall in love nonetheless.

Four: WrongRocketshippers. No romance. They're just friends with benefits.

Five: AntiRocketshippers. They are best friends, and nothing more. They also believe that James is gay.

Where do you classify? (If you ship this)

Let's go to the evidences!

Let's start with the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga. This manga is based on the anime, but it doesn't really follow the same canon.

In the last volume of the manga, they get married, and it shows Jessie to be pregnant.

Now...let's go to the anime.

If I was gonna go to every freaking episode with a hint, we will take forever here.

They've been in 800+ episodes of the Pokémon anime. I'll list a few episodes, but most will be general hints.

- In the episode "Training Daze", it was shown that no one partnered with Jessie could last long with her. After many tries, they assigned James to be her partner. Jessie warned him about herself, and James took it as a challenge rather than a threat. He managed to work well with Jessie, and ever since, they've been permanent partners.

- They hold each other a lot, especially when they're terrified. It may be hugging or hand holding.

- They dress up as a married couple when they have to crossdress as a family.

- In the episode "Holy Matrimony", James gave up the life of luxury to stay with Team Rocket. He and Jessie have a moment (the part where James pulls Jessie up the hot air balloon and they stare in to each other's eyes). They also forgot Meowth.

- Well...Jessebelle does have a striking resemblance to Jessie. In the episode "The Treasure Is All Mine!", it was revealed that James had a crush on Jessebelle, and that's why he wrote a letter saying that he wanted to marry her (although he was turned off after knowing more about her). This could mean that he might just be attracted to Jessie.

- Even after all their failures, they still value their friendship. They may have almost given up on each other, but they still run back to each other. (Although this applies more to them as a team with Meowth).

- They're very supportive of each other.

So...those hints don't seem a lot, but some hints are recurring.

Now...for some stuff against.

- Some argue that James is gay. Not a lot of people say Jessie is lesbian.

- Jessie was seen to fall in love with other guys. James doesn't seem jealous (or is he?).

Well...that's all I can think about.

Overall, romance is possible. No doubt they are best friends, and I know some people who end up falling in love with their best friends. Also, they've been together for almost 20 years. They're still around each other.

But you know the anime. They never grow up.

Ash is 10 forever.

James and Jessie are 17 (or 25 from Tamashii's video) forever.

THIS WILL BE THE LAST SOLO PART.

This will also be probably the last part that would make some sense. The rest would be main ships from either the manga or the game. And I don't really give explanations for those. The others would be weird ships and such.

In the next part, we will wrap up the R ships and start with the S ships.

We're kinda almost done here.

See ya!
