15 | The Revelation

"Wake up!" Ella continously shakes Ross until he falls off the bed.

"Ouch!" He complains.

"Ha ha. Now, get dressed cause we're going to your rehearsals." Ella says.

"Wait, we?" Ross weakly gets up from the floor and ruffles his hair.

"Yup. You, me, and Alexa. And we're already ready, so you better get dressed already." Ella says, throwing Ross a bunch of random clothes.

"Woah woah, alright. Why are you so excited?" Ross asks, puzzled.

Ella shrugs. "Uh, I want to watch you perform?"

Ross sighs. "If you're only coming because you want to make sure that I don't tire myself, and that I take my medicine, no need. I won't kill myself, I promise."

"Of course not. I really just want to go," Ella rolls her eyes.

"In that case, don't be bossy okay?" Ross playfully bumps her.

"Yeah whatever. Now hurry up, Alexa will be here in a few."

Ross agrees, then makes it to the shower room. In no time, he comes out all ready to go.

"Hop in, ladies." Ross says, inviting Ella and Alexa into his car.

So, Alexa sits beside the driver's seat, and at the back was Ella.

"Y'all ready?" Ross smiles.

"Yep. Wait, why are you so happy today Ross?" Alexa asks curiously.

"Uh, maybe I'm just excited for my concert. Plus, I'm with you guys." He winks.

"Good to know you're fine now." Alexa says truthfully.

Ross simply smiles, knowing deep inside he isn't fine.

After a few minutes, they arrive at the venue.

"Hey Ross!" Rocky happily approaches him.

"You guys are early," Ross gives him a high five.

"Well, we got excited." Riker and Rydel soon walks in.

Ross shrugs. "By the way, I brought my sister and a friend."

As if on cue, Ella and Alexa enters the room. "This is Ella, and Alexa." Ross introduces them.

With that, Riker and Alexa's eyes stay glued onto each other. "Yeah, I know Alexa." Riker says without taking his eyes off Alexa.

"You know each other?" Ella chimes in.

Alexa hesitates to respond, but does anyway. "Yeah. Back in college, we knew each other."

There was an awkward silence filling the room, when Ross started talking again.

"Okaaay. So since you know Riker, these are his siblings Rocky and Rydel." Ross says.

"Nice to meet you," They give each other a friendly hug.

Since they were still waiting for Ellington, they chatted for a while.

"So, how did you guys meet again?" Rocky says, refering to Riker and Alexa.

"College." Riker simply replies.

Before anything else, Alexa excuses herself, followed by Ella. It was obvious that they were avoiding the topic.

"Is there something going on here?" Rydel asks suspiciously.

They were all waiting for Riker's answer.

"Fine." Riker sighs. "Back in college, we, we kinda had a relationship going on." He adds.

Ross' eyes widen. "Really? For all I know she said she never had a boyfriend," He wonders.

"It was quite complicated. But it doesn't matter, past is past." Riker says.

Then, their conversation was interrupted by Ellington, who just entered the room.

"Bro, you came!" Rocky says.

"I keep my promises," He smiles.

"I'm excited to play music with you," Ross says in a welcoming tone.

Ellington simply nods, then they get ready.

"You like mismatched socks, with polka dots, you like your pizza cold, I think that's hot, you like to swim at night when the moon is full, you think it made you strange, I think that's cool... And you say you're scared that I won't be there, but baby I swear, I'm not going anywhere, you can change your hair, five times a week, you can change your name, get a little bit crazy, you can dance in the rain, rockin' secondhand chic, but I live for the day, that I'm calling you baby cause I'm falling for you, for everything that you do, baby I'm falling for you, you might be crazy, but baby I'm falling for you,"

Ellington ends the song with his drums, that turned out great.

"That was awesome guys!" Rocky says.

"Sure was," Ross agrees.

"Okay," Mandy; their instructor, starts to talk, "That was very good. Good job to everyone. A few more songs, and the concert will be perfect." She says

"Thanks," Rydel says.

Ross looks around, seeing no sign of Ella or Alexa. "Guys, I'll be back in a bit," Ross says as he leaves the room.

Calling Ella...

("Yeah?") She picks up on the third ring.

"Where are you guys?"

("Well, we're here at the coffee shop. Alexa isn't in such a good state right now,") Ella says.

"Okay. I'll be there," Ross says hanging up.

After a quick drive, he parks his car and spots Ella and Alexa near the window.

"Why'd you disapear?" Ross says, taking a seat.

Alexa stays quiet, but of course Ross knew why.

"Is it Riker? He told me your he's ex." Ross asks.

"Yeah." Alexa says, taking a sip from her coffee. "It's been years I know, but he had just hurt me so much." She says, leaving drops of tears on her cheeks.

Ella worridly takes her hand, "What happened?" she asks.

"We had a perfect relationship. I thought he was the one. But one day, I woke up and he completely disapeared. No sign of him, he wouldn't pick up or reply. He just left me there wondering what the hell happened. There was even a point when I thought he was dead." She wipes her tears, "Every night I would cry until I fall asleep. Until one day, I had no more tears to let out. I thought I've moved on, but I guess you can never forget such a thing."

Ross teeth were now gritted. "I thought leaving me was the worst he did, but I guess he really likes to hurt people on purpose."

"Hey, let's not jump into conclusion. You guys should talk," Ella says.

"I don't want to show him that I even remember him. I just want him to feel what I felt when he left me." Alexa explains.

Ross sits up, and smiles. "He broke your heart, now I'll help you in breaking his."

Alexa smiles a bit, welcoming Ross' idea.
