I don't even know where to begin.
Thank you for everything. I genuinely can't put it into words.
I've been writing on Wattpad for five years now, which feels completely insane to say. In some ways, it feels like I've been doing this forever, and in others, I can still remember everything so clearly. I remember writing the first chapter of Vigilante. I remember celebrating when I hit 1k reads. I remember sitting there planning Icarus because I wanted a Zayn fic so badly and thought, who better to write one than me?
I never could have imagined where any of it would take me.
Over the past five years, I've made friends because of these books. I've met so many lovely people. I've gone to Harry shows with people I met through my writing, and I've made friends I talk to every single day who I might never even meet in person. I've spent so many mornings waking up and immediately checking my notifications, knowing there would be kind messages and comments waiting for me after each update.
That is something I will genuinely never take for granted.
I don't think I'll ever be able to comprehend that people actually read my work, never mind love it. That people get excited for updates, notice when I've disappeared for a few weeks, or sit there waiting to see what happens next. I'll never fully understand that something I wrote in my bedroom can make somebody cry, laugh, feel happy, angry, or feel anything at all. The fact that so many of you decided to click on one of my books and then continued coming back every week is honestly insane to me.
I've only ever felt so much love from this.
It's cliche, but I remember being seven or eight years old and borrowing my dad's computer just so I could sit and write stories. I always loved it. I always wanted to create things and share them with people. I never thought that years later, thousands of people would actually be reading something I wrote and caring about these characters as much as I do. I don't think little me would have believed any of this.
To have, in some way, honoured my dream is something I don't think I'll ever be able to properly explain.
Thank you for every read, every vote, every comment, every message, every time you've waited for an update, and every time you've given one of my stories a chance. Thank you for loving these books and these characters with me. Thank you for being here through Vigilante, Icarus, and Heavenly. Thank you for five years of memories that I genuinely never expected to have.
I'm so incredibly proud of Heavenly. It's genuinely my favourite thing I've ever written, and I think that's partly because I never thought I'd get to this point with my writing. It has all been because if the love I've received over the years.
Thank you for making me want to keep writing.
No matter where I end up or what happens with my writing, whether I write something here again, or whether the next thing you see from me is (hopefully) a published book on a shelf in a bookstore, I think I'll always look back on this part of my life and feel incredibly lucky that I got to experience it. I wouldn't have been able to do it without the never-ending support. I'm so grateful. I'm so so grateful. I love you. Thank you. This will always be where it started for me, and I'll always carry that with me.
And before I disappear, I just wanted to say thank you.
Thank you for everything.
I love you all so much.
I'll miss you more than you know.
