I glanced over at the seating section in the rink, yet again for the thousandth time. Lex was still sitting there, with the bloke she clashed into. He was cute, he really was. Nothing comparable to Blake, in my opinion, but definitely a real looker. They were sitting at one of the many tables, she was sitting in the chair closest to the wall, leaning on him, who was in propped up in the chair beside her. He held an ice-pack to her forehead as they chatted vigorously. I wondered what they were talking about.
"You alright, love?" I heard Blake ask from my right. We were still skating round and round the rink together. I smiled, and laced my fingers through his.
"Yeah, it's just weird seeing Lexi with a guy again," He had a questioning look, so I indulged. "She hasn't had many relationships, and her and that guy are hanging all over each other like there's no tomorrow, not to mention the fact like they act like they've known each other since forever, when it's only been a couple of hours." Blake nodded.
"I see what you mean, but don't get too frantic. It's not like they're shagging each other They're just flirting. Maybe it's good for her to get back in the game." He tightened his grip on my small hand and pulled me closer to him.
"You're right.. I'm just a little protective."

"And so then this guy just comes in and says, 'You can all go home now! Everything's alright!'" Shane finished. I giggled quietly at his story. I had only met the guy a couple of hours ago.. And he was such a good person. He had his head screwed on straight, he took care of himself even though he was so young. He had such cute features, and honestly.. I never interacted so easily with anyone I had just met before .. I blushed at some thoughts of him and I, and he must have saw.
"How's your head, girly?" His nicknames were odd, but I liked them. He had a slight accent, occasionally rolling the R's on some words, but it was adorable.
"It's much better, thank you." I went to remove my ice pack when he gently grabbed my hand. Butterflies soared through my stomach with nervousness, as my face heated up.
"Allow me." He said with a genuine tone, as he softly removed my ice-pack from my forehead, tossing it on the neon table. I nodded my thanks, and turned away smiling. Hoping he wouldn't see my flushed cheeks.

"So.. You think he's a keeper?" I queried Lexi from my window seat as we sat in the moving bus. She rolled her eyes before answering.
"A keeper?" Her accent made it sound like she said 'Keepa?' "I only just met the bloody guy!" She laughed, and I looked down at the little slip of paper in her hand.
"Those his digits?"
"Huh?" She was stalling.
"I asked if those were his digits." She blushed, and nodded her head whilst smiling at the ground. I just laughed at her, and stared out the window. The sky was dark, and ominous, but only seemed to make Paris even more romantic. Yellow-orange lights ignited every lamp on the street. Quaint, tiny houses were piled onto every corner, decorating the blocks with traditional patterns of stripes and accessories that seemed to color the city with oriental, comforting, energy. I closed my eyes and breathed deeply, soaking in every bit of Paris, wishing the bus would slow down so the view out of my small window would be savored.
Be careful what you wish for.
Thud. Thud. Thud!
A roar of gasps from the bus rippled from the front to the back as the vehicle bounced up and down, and skidded to a sudden halt. I defensively held my arm out in front of Lex, guarding her from getting hurt because she wasn't wearing a seat belt. I was jerked forward, and hit my head on the back of the seat in front of me. I looked towards an unharmed Lexi, with wide eyes. She just stared back, looking frightened. After what seemed like hours of waiting, one of the teachers got out of their seats and stood in the isle in the front of the bus.
"Flat tire!" She yelled.
