   ~Lexi's P.O.V~

It took about three hours for the towing service to get to us. By the time the tire was changed, we all boarded back on, and we made it back to the hotel, it was midnight. Angel fell asleep on the bus, and Blake and I carried her back up to the room. Blake wasn't allowed to go into the girl's room, so I had to carry her the rest of the way into the room.

"Well, take it easy." Blake said as he handed me angel. She snored softly, she was heavier than she looked. He pecked Angel on the forehead before I replied.

"You too, Blake." I smiled a tiny grin, and he half hugged me before retreating to the boys' side of the hallway, vanishing into his room. I felt grateful we had him. He was like an older, protective brother to me, and to Angel.. Well.. I waddled over to Angel's bed, and dumped her under the sheets. She soundlessly rolled over, untouched. I giggled as she threw her arms around in her sleep. I went to the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth, tied my hair into a messy bun, and threw on my sweats. polyvore.com/lexis_sleepwear/set?id=80016509 The shirt I was wearing said 'I like Cats' . Angel got it for me on the day when we had known each other for seven years. I got her one that said 'I like Dogs' It was ironic, I hated cats, whilst she loved them. She hated dogs, yet I adored them. We got it for the laughs.

I walked over to the the chair by the bedside table. I sunk down into it whilst pulling out my phone. I dialed up my mum's number. It went straight to voice-mail. I mentally face-palmed myself. Of course it bloody did, it's almost one in the morning.

"Ello! Sorry I didn't get to the phone. Leave me a message, I'll get back to you soon!" Mum's voice soothed me, even if it was just a recording.

"Hiya mummy." I whispered into the phone, trying not to wake a steadily sleeping Angel. "I know it's super late, and your sleeping.. But I just wanted to call you and tell you i'm okay, and I'll be home real soon. Tomorrow is the last day here.. I can't wait to see you, mum. You should've been here, our bus got a flat tire!" I laughed into the phone, as Angel rolled over, snoring. "Well.. I have to go. I'm supposed to be asleep. I love you, mumma. Sleep good." I hung up the phone, leaving it on the chair as I crawled into my bed, squirming comfortably in the silk sheets. I was tired, but couldn't sleep. I laid awake, thinking and analyzing every details of my life. Making up scenarios in my head with Shane.. Things I knew would never happen- to my dismay. I thought about my father a lot. He left when I was seven, cheated on my mom- decided he didn't want the life he had anymore. He packed his stuff up, patted me on the shoulder and left. Whilst my mum was full Brit, he was Italian. Not half Italian, nope, full. Thats where I got my looks from. My accent from mum, looks from dad.

I couldn't understand why I never missed my dad when I was little.. But as I grew, it clicked.. What was there to miss? There wasn't much of a relationship anyhow. Maybe growing up without him has helped, maybe I've learned from it, and grew  from it.

Whatever.

I didn't need my dad. I had my mom.

And my best-friend. I slid the covers off me, and lifted my shirt, whilst pulling the top of my sweatpants down an inch.

The yellow-orange glow from the window shone on my skin. I knew all too well the light was from the majestic effiel tower.

My permanent mark gleamed as I traced the infinity symbol with my finger- I didn't hurt anymore.

I knew everything would be okay.

I knew it.
