I held the food tightly as I dug deep into my pocket for my keys. I heard the girls giggles from out in the hallway it better be just that funny. I unlocked the door. "He's coming, he's coming" I heard Nariah say and feet hitting the floor.
"What are y'all doing?" I asked kicking the door closed
"Why we gotta be doing something?" Janelle asked taking the bags from me so I could take my jacket off.
"Because you're you.." I said
"Not fair Jah I tell you about my life, and now you're using it against me." She said looking through the bag of food not lifting her head not once.
"You're a mess." I laughed taking off my shoes
"I maybe that, but what are you?" She asked still not lifting her head from the food
"Everything you're not" I teased
"Oh is that right?" I heard her mumbled
"Here you go baby" she handed Nariah her food along with a plate
I want to help her but she quickly shut that down "go relax I got you child." She said reminding me of something my mother or grandmother would say.
"Alright ma" I said walking in the living sitting next to Riaha
"She kicked you out huh?" She asked flipping threw the channels
"Yeah" I sat back
"I knew it." She laughed
"Knew what?" I raised an eyebrow at her
"That she would kick you out she wouldn't even let me fix my own drink" she said
"What's up with that." I asked
"She said she was raised to have the woman serve" Riaha said
"Where the heck she from" I asked
"Japan" Nariah said biting into her sub
My mouth formed into the shape of an O
As she came into the living room with a plate of food for me.
"Thank you ma" I said taking the food from her
"No problem babe" she mumbled heading back into the kitchen
I blessed my food looking up to meet a pair of happy eyes. Naraih.
"What kid!" I laughed
"Did she just call you babe" she asked
"Yeah so" I mumbled
"Yeah so? Why you blushing then?" she wiggled her eyebrows
I shook my head getting hot, it's been a long time since I have received any female attention. I mean any female
"Man I'm cooling" I replied
She came back with her food making me move over. Is it crazy that I want her near me?
"What are we watching?" She asked
"Parent trap!" Nariah yelled
"Riaha how old are you?" I asked
"16" she answered
"Act like it no body wants to watch this" I said
"I do!" Janelle replied looking at the T.v screen
"HA" Riaha rolled her eyes.
"Y'all are some big babies" I stuffed my face
"Says the guy making a mess! That ain't cute" Janelle mugged me
"But you still like me" I said knowingly
"Oh hush up boy" she said
About in hour into the movie we were laid out all over the place. Nariah was on the floor, I was laid out on the sofa with Janelle laying in front of me. Her head was right below my chin making me smell he strawberry scented hair.
We were watching the part when their mom seen both of them and they were playing tricks with her back at the hotel. Janelle was so into the movie, like her eyes never left the screen . I enjoyed watching her gasp at the 'unknown' part or cliff hangers knowing all too well that she seen this movie a dozen times.
She moved around a little looking up at me "Don't you just love this movie?" She smiled
"Uh no. You love this movie." I laughed lightly at her fallen face
"Oh whatever!" She turned back to the movie.
My favorite part happened....the ending.
"Such a great movie" she sat up
"You're such a lame!" I laughed
"But you still like me" she copied me from early
"Oh whatever" I pulled a her on her
"Man Nariah get yo brother!" She playfully rolled her eyes
"How about both of y'all chill out before y'all make me take off my belt!" She said in a deep voice
"Whatever babe!" Janelle laughed patting Nariah's head
Nariah play with the charm on Janelle's arm.
"What time is it?" She asked
"9." I checked my watch
"I should be going." She said
But I didn't want her to leave
"But you just got here" Nariah said
"I know I know but I should be going. I've been with you guys all day. I should let y'all get back to what ever it is y'all do" she spoke to Riaha
"But it's gonna be boring without you." She pouted
But but but I don't want her to leave.
*Janelle
Nariah was giving 3 degree , i t was making me feel bad.
"Jah tell her she doesn't have to leave" she turned to Jah
"You ain't gotta go ...if you don't wanna go. There's enough space for you here" he spoke fast
"But I-" Nariah cut me off
"Then it's settled your staying the night." She smiled
Fine! It wasn't like I wanted to go anyway. ^.^
