"I don't even know myself at all,  I thought I would be happy by now. The more I try to push I realize gotta let go of control. Gotta let it happen. Gotta let it happen. Gotta let it happen, so let it happen. It's just a spark, but it's enough to keep me goin. And when it's dark out, no one's around. It keeps glowin. Every night I try my best to dream, tomorrow makes it better, wake up to the cold reality that not a thing has changed, but it will happen." Last Hope Paramore

“Five minutes until show time! Places please!” I frantically walked onto the dark stage, and laid down on the bed for the opening number. Two weeks of intense rehearsal have passed, and two months of night to night performances are almost done. The curtains opened and I was staring at a full house, in the main theatre on Broadway. I acted my heart out, and then the show was over with. My performances were far from over. I have a movie audition in L.A. and in two days I have the Tony Awards (yes the Tony Awards) I was nominated for Best Actress in a leading role in a Musical. It is quite a big thing, and I don’t quite know how to take it. Tim and I aren’t officially together. It’s weird, and I haven’t seen him in two months, since I’ve been traveling.

The play ended and I got a standing ovation, it was good. I packed up my things in the dressing room and was about to leave to go to the hotel. Lane was in the hotel room next to me, with James of course. He flew into see some of the shows. Mark got a girlfriend, blonde and beautiful, and a chorus member of the show. So he’s always with her, and I find myself being alone most of the time. There are a few nice guys in the cast. There is the guy who plays the big hot shot in the show, he’s really cute, but I have never had really any time to talk to him. I gathered my last few makeup items and put them in my messenger bag and threw it over my shoulder. I turned around and left the girls dressing room. The back hall was crowded. “Leah!” I turned around. I saw a person walking towards me in the crowd. It was Ethan, the blonde haired blue eyed perfect skinned person who played the big hot shot.

“Uh hi, Ethan.” I flashed a weird questioning smile.

“Hey, you were great tonight.” He had his bag as if he was about ready to leave.

                “Thanks you were too.”

“Well I’m not the one nominated for a Tony.”

“Yeah, I am still not so sure how that happened, but alright. I’m headed back to the hotel.”

“Me too, we can walk together.”

“Okay,” we left out the back. It was only like a five minute walk back to the hotel. “So I guess this is really it, we have the final cast thing tomorrow, and I have the Tony’s, but after this we will all go our separate ways now.”

“That’s why I decided to call after you; I didn’t want to be stupid and not get to talk to you at all before you left.” I laughed a little bit. I could see my breath in the mid December air. The lights from Radio City Music Hall were bright and beautiful.

                “We’ve talked quite a lot.”

“But I mean like actually talked, not talking because I have too.”

                “You mean to say?”

“I mean to say that I have a little bit of a crush on you.”

                “Oh, I see.”

“Yeah, and that probably got me nowhere.”
