As soon as the mehendi ceremony came to an end, Manik and his entire family, along with their friends, left the house that had been arranged for them.
Nandu's family also retreated to their respective rooms. They had been running around all day, busy with the celebrations, and were completely exhausted.
But the girls who had been left behind with Manik's family had other plans.
They were all gathered in the hall, pestering Karan to drop them at Nandini's house.
"Karan, please! Just drop us there."
"Come on, Karan, it's not that far!"
"Why are you making such a fuss?"
Karan, however, was adamant.
"It's late at night! And I don't even know the area properly. You people know where Nandu's family lives right . Why are you all pestering me , go together ?"
While Karan continued arguing with them, the rest of the guys were comfortably resting around the hall, completely unconcerned about the chaos happening in front of them. Elders left to sleep..
Meanwhile, upstairs in his room, Manik had just changed into his nightwear. He picked up his phone almost absentmindedly and that was when he noticed a notification.
A message from Anwar.
Manik's expression immediately changed.
It wasn't an ordinary message.
It was a request for help a danger alert.
Being a police officer himself, Manik knew exactly what it meant.
His first priority now was to reach Anwar and save him as quickly as possible.
Without wasting another second, Manik left his room and came downstairs.
The moment he reached the hall, he saw the entire scene.
Charms, Avni, Sanju, Monu, and the other girls were surrounding Karan and pestering him, while Karan looked as though he was being tortured.
Manik raised an eyebrow.
Karan noticed him and immediately complained.
"Why don't you all ask your husbands to drop you? I'm a single, solo gentleman! Why are you only pestering me?"
The girls exchanged looks.
Then all of them turned towards Karan with the exact same expression.
