The next morning arrived for Nandini in what felt like the blink of an eye.

For the rest of the girls, however, it had been an amazing night. They had spent the entire night talking, eating snacks, sharing secrets, and discussing everything from their husbands to boyfriends and marriage.

At the same time, they made sure to keep most of the conversations child-friendly for Charms. She was the youngest among them a sweet twelfth-standard schoolgirl and all the girls treated her almost like their own daughter.

Whenever a conversation became inappropriate for her age, they would either change the topic, start speaking in their own coded signals, or simply send her away on some little errand.

"Charms, go and bring that."

"Charms, check if there is anything to eat in the kitchen ."

Anything to keep her away from certain conversations.

They also made sure she grew up with the right understanding of love, relationships, and marriage.

Nandini was especially conscious about it. After all, almost every girl sitting around that table was her bhabi or sister.

There was Moni, Arjun's wife.
Sanju, Ali's wife.
Krithika, who would soon become Karan's wife.
Navya, own sister of charms
Alia, her own sister.
Avni, Neil's wife.

And, of course, Nandini herself Manik's wife.

To Charms, these women were almost like second mothers, with Nandini being the most protective of them all.

So the girls spent the night creating memories together while making sure their youngest member remained innocent.

The next morning, they were all sitting together at the breakfast table, reminiscing about the previous night.

The elders had already finished breakfast and were busy with preparations for the Sangeet and the wedding.

The temple wedding was scheduled for early the following morning, so there was plenty to arrange and pack.

But Nandini barely paid attention to any of it.

Her eyes kept returning to her mobile.

At exactly five in the morning, she had checked Manik's phone, put it on vibration, and carefully kept it in her pocket.

She had been waiting ever since.

Unlike the previous functions, Nandini wasn't dressed like a typical bride preparing for mehendi, haldi, or Sangeet.

She looked beautiful in a simple cotton dress. Her long hair was arranged in a simple style, falling into a long braid that reached almost to her knees. Her mangalsutra rested around her neck. Her sindoor was perfectly placed. Her bangles adorned her wrists.
