I finally make it most of the way through the day, and then came last period. I walked into my honors history class and I'm faced with my worst nightmare. The only open seat is next to Ryan AND Kelly. I have no choice but to sit next to them.
The whole period Ryan does nothing but stare at me and Kelly keeps trying to get my attention. I'm doing my best to ignore them and am watching the clock, I'm counting the minutes until the bell will ring. Ryan never stops staring. 20 minutes. The teacher tells us he is done for the day. I cross my arms over the desk and lay my head in them.
All of a sudden, a memory comes to me... two kids, one girl and one boy holding hands, sitting by a river. That are laughing and smiling. The boy reaches his hand into the water and splashes the girl, getting her her hands wet. She dishes him back and he laughs. He gets up and picks her up. She smiles and leans in...
BRRRRRIIIIIIINNNNNGGGG!
I jump and realize it's time to go. I look over to see Ryan smile. I realize something vital to the memory. Ryan was the boy.
"Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Yeah I'm fine." I say and run out of the room and start on my way home. A car pulls up by me and how's its horn. I jump and then realize that it's just Elijah.
"Hop in. I told your mom I'm taking you back to my place." I nod and hop into the passenger seat. Of to Elijah's house we go.
