Chapter 23: Dinner with the Rappers (Part 2)

Hunchul and Supreme Boi immediately dive for the  samgyeopsal and bulgogi, making Yoongi and Miyoung burst into laughter as they throw the meat onto the grill like a pair of starved animals.

The meat sizzles deliciously on the grill, and Miyoung carefully uses her chopsticks to put a few more pieces of various meats and vegetables on as the first few pieces of samgyeopsal start to turn brown. The rappers eat in happy silence, enjoying the rare chance to eat all that they can.

Before they know it, the white plates are all empty, with only a few pieces of neglected vegetables left. Yoongi leans back in his seat with a satisfied sigh, and smiles when he sees all three rappers around him slumped back with pleased expressions as well.

"So," Miyoung looks at the boys with a curious grin, "how do you all know each other?"

Supreme Boi immediately bursts into laughter as he mumbles something about wishing that "i11evn" was here.

Yoongi cringes, glad that his fellow Big Hit rapper trainee, i11evn, was NOT here. Although the two were now close friends, as trainees, they had a rather embarrassing rivalry.

"Aish, it's a long story..." Yoongi groans, but Miyoung sets her elbows on the table and rests her head on her hands, eager to hear the story anyways.

"Well, Yoongi, if you don't want to tell her about it, I will!" Hunchul smirks and without hesitation, launches into a detailed account of how the rappers had originally met.

"We were all underground rappers that ended up as trainees at Big Hit. Me, Yoongi, Supreme Boi, Namjoon, Hoseok and another rapper named i11evn are all close because we were the original members of what the Bangtan Boys would've been- at first, the Bangtan Boys was going to be a strictly rappers-only group with no dancing and performance fluff."

"Hey," Yoongi frowns, "the Bangtan Boys don't do 'fluff'!"

"Whatever you say, Yoongi," Supreme Boi shakes his head and laughs as Hanchul grins and continues with his story,

"But then we heard about changing the Bangtan Boys into your typical idol group, so Supreme Boi, me and i11evn decided to leave and become solo rappers. Only Namjoon, Hoseok and Yoongi stayed at Big Hit, so now they're part of the group you now know as the Bangtan Boys, Miyoung."

"But we're still close friends and like to keep in touch and meet up every now and then like this," Supreme Boi smiles and points his chopsticks at Hanchul and Yoongi,

"We like to help each other with our music- especially Yoongi, because he's a genius when it comes to music."

"Aish, don't try and flatter me just because I treated you to a meal," Yoongi grumbles, but feels a small tug at corners of his lips anyways.

"Ah, I see," Miyoung bites her lip in an amused smile as she watches the three friends bicker back and forth,

"No wonder you're all so comfortable with each other."

"Well, we like to think we're all very close as well, but Yoongi probably thinks of us more like his annoying dongsaengs," Hanchul sniggers, "He's always been like a Gyeongsangdo dad, even though he's younger than me."

Miyoung almost spits out the water she just took a sip of in laughter, probably imagining Yoongi lazing around like a typical Gyeongsangdo dad.

"How about you, Miyoung?" Supreme Boi grins as he hands her a napkin,

"How did you meet our Yoongi-ssi?"

Yoongi almost chokes on a drink of water of his own at Supreme Boi's question, nervous, yet curious to know what Miyoung will tell them.
