~Johnnie's POV~
I drive back to my place as Alex rests in the passenger seat. She's holding a rag on her stomach to help the bleeding, but at least it's only a minimal amount. After about five minutes, I arrive in the driveway of my house. I park the car, exit, then walk over to her side to help her out. I pick her up bridal style, she's still sound asleep. She was probably in shock. I stride to the opening of my house and kick the door so my roommates, Kyle or Bryan, would answer. Then the door swings open.
Kyle asks, "Who the hell is this?" I respond, "My classmate, Alex. She was being cut by some guys on the road, but I took care of them." Kyle rolls his eyes and lets me in. Walking into the chilly livingroom, I lie her down on the couch, exposing her stomach so I could cover the cuts up. "Kyle, I need you to get me some hydrogen peroxide, a few cotton balls, and water for when she wakes up." Kyle groans and springs back to the bathroom. I rub away the blood coming out of her cuts, then Kyle drops the alcohol and bag with the cotton balls contained within behind me. I pull out a cotton ball and pour some alcohol on it, then gently rub Alex's wounds. Her eyes burst open and she winces in pain. I'm guessing that the stinging caused her to wake up.
"I'm sorry, Alex. Am I hurting you?"
She whimpers as I rub away the leftover alcohol on the stomach as the rest dissolves into the cuts. She responds, "No, it just...just stings a little." Sitting up, she touches her wounds with her index and middle fingers, then she winces again. I comment, "Don't touch them. It'll hurt a lot more if you do." Alex has an energy to her that I couldn't understand. It was a covering energy, like how water flows over you as you float in a pool or a lake.
She asks, "Where am I, Johnnie?" I set the cotton balls down and reply, "You're just in my livingroom. I just thought that you needed a bit of care before you went home. That's all." She lets out a small, "oh," before holding her hand to her head. "Holy shit, I'm cold." I state, "You were kind of in shock after what happened with Mark and Carl. That's why I brought you back here." She nods once and looks down at the cuts on her belly. She covers her mouth in shock, then lets out a whimper. "He...he branded me. I'm his. Oh, my God..." I kneel down on the floor and cover her stomach with her shirt. I hold her palms in my hands and say, "You are not anybody's property. No one has branded you. We can get him back later, okay? I swear we will." I wipe away a few dripping tears from her puffy cheek, then cradle her into a hug.
Kyle steps into the livingroom with a glass of water and sets it down on the coffee table. I tell him, "Thanks, Kyle."
He mutters a "you're welcome" and walks back up to his room. I hand the glass to Alex, she's hardly crying anymore, but she takes a few more sips to calm herself down. "I can't thank you enough, Johnnie. I just met you today, but I think you're my new best friend." I grin and comment, "Me too, Alex."

~Alex's POV~
Johnnie asked if I wanted to take a quick shower, I could. I thought to myself, "If I do now, then I won't have to when I get home. I can just go to bed." I respond to his favor, "Sure. Why not?"
"Help yourself, Alex." I grin and wrap into a hug. I whisper, "Thank you so much, Johnnie." He hugs me back and says, "You're very welcome, Alex." He holds me tighter, and then let's go, so I do too. He leaves the bathroom and closes the door behind him. As I began the warm water, I undress and glance at myself in the mirror. Exhaling a sigh, I then place my hands on my hips. I felt like Johnnie and I were instantly attached, like a fly to a web. I was attracted to him, even though we've just met, I don't care. I want him. I want Johnnie. Johnnie freaking Guilbert.
I step into the humid shower and close the pale blue shower curtain. Letting the hot droplets wash over my skin, I bring my blue hair back and allow the water to run over my body. Gripping a soap bar in my wet palms, I drag it across my shoulders, down each arm, my chest, and my belly. The scent of Irish Spring roams around the entire room, filling my nose with a hypnotizing aroma. I hear the door creak open, and to make sure it wasn't my imagination, I peek my head out from behind the shower curtain. And yes. It was my imagination.
I groan, hoping that Johnnie would have opened the door, stripped and hop in with me. Okay, don't fret, Alex, don't fret.
We just met on the first day of school, he saved me from being any more hurt by Carl and Mark, and now, he's helping me. He took care of all of my cuts and he's letting me clean up. Screw Shannon, he's my new best friend.
Johnnie gently knocks on the door and I freeze. "Alex, I have some of my sister's clothes you can borrow for you to go home in. And don't say no, because I insist." I grin and stop the water. I respond, "One sec, Johnnie." I pull a forest green towel down from the rack inches away from my arms, and wrap it around my naked body. Allowing the water droplets to fall off of my skin for a moment, I pull the towel down a bit to show a bit of cleavage, then I look into the steamy mirror. Wiping away some fog, I glance at my blue and black locks, seeing that they are all perfectly placed on my shoulders and chest nicely. I slowly open the door to see Johnnie's back turned. He swings his body around and gives a sexy smirk.
I bet he doesn't even know he's doing it.
"Here you go. My sister left some clothes last time she visited in case she wanted to come over any time soon. The shirt's a little big, but the bottoms should be your size." I smile and grab the clothes from his thin fingers to my wet palms. "Thank you, Johnnie." He smiles again and comments, "You're welcome, Alex." I glance down and bite my lip for a split second. I step back inside to get dressed as Johnnie springs forward to the livingroom. The medium Green Day 'American Idiot' tee fit loosely around my torso, then I pull on the green and grey undies (that surprisingly fit, by the way), and then some mid thigh length, black shorts that fit thinly against my thigh.
I rub the towel gently across my hair to dry the black and blue strands. Taking a deep breath, I step outside of the humid bathroom and into the chilly livingroom. I overhear Kyle and Johnnie having a conversation on the couch, so I decide to eavesdrop. I jump back behind the wall behind the couch and breathe slowly.
Kyle says, "She's really cute. Do you like her?" Johnnie scoffs and responds, "I might. I mean, she's really beautiful. But we've just met today. And plus, I don't even think she's interested in me. I just want to get to know her first." I let out a silent "aw," and proceed listening to them. "Yeah, I know how you feel. It was like that when Meghan and I first met. I wanted to know more about her other than just knowing about her past." I heard a Johnnie lowly sigh and he comments, "I don't know, man. We have every class together. And we have so much in common. She made my day better. You're doing online school and Meghan comes over every weekend. I go to an actual school with a girl I've just met and can never have." I clutch my chest in shock, hoping he didn't think that. Kyle pats Johnnie's shoulder and states, "Don't say that, man. Everything happens for a reason. If it's meant to be, it'll happen. Just wait for the day to come. It will." I hear Johnnie quietly chuckle, then ask, "How the hell did we become friends again?" Kyle chuckles and responds, "I don't even remember, to be honest."
Instead of just standing around like a creepy stalker forever, I choose to step into the livingroom. "Hey, guys."
Kyle looks up at me in surprise and Johnnie jumps in shock. "Jesus, you scared me!" I cover my lips to hide my chuckles. "Sorry, Johnnie." Johnnie glares at Kyle, then Kyle lets out an "oh," as he springs up to his feet. He comments, "Well, I'll be in the kitchen if you need me." I look at him and shrug as he walks away. Johnnie comments, "You can sit here," and pats the space next to him. I sit next to him, and let out a quiet sigh, thinking about the previous conversation that occurred.
I ask, "What were you guys talking about?" In hopes that I could get an honest answer out of him. He replies, "Not a lot. Just...guy stuff. Complicated guy stuff." I nod my head with an O shape encasing my lips. I feel my heart flutter as I remember the fact that he likes me. I decide to ask him, "Johnnie, answer me honestly - do you think I'm...well, pretty?" He stammers in embarrassment. "Uh, I...um...well..." So, instead of saying, "Well?" like a normal person, I place my hand on his shoulder and give him a peck on the cheek. Then I whisper in his ear, "Do you, or don't you, Johnnie?" He shivers slightly, then responds, "I actually think that you're very beautiful, Alex." I grin and say, "I thought so," then give him another peck on the cheek. He shudders, and grits his teeth as I slowly back away to sit. Then, in the corner of my eye, I see Johnnie reach for my cheeks, then pull me in for a deep kiss.
