Chapter 4

"Miss Lacy!" I yelled from upstairs. It's the second day with my new family. My biological mother joined me in my room. "Please, Madison. Call me mom." She said. I smiled at her. "Call me Maddy." I said back. "I have a few questions. The first page is for you and the second is for Dad." I said handing her a notebook with some questions I had written. She sat on my bed to write down the answers. I began unpacking my stuff. She finished and handed me the answers, smiling.

Why didn't you tell me about this earlier? We thought you might be mad.

Do you like being a model? Yes.

Are you and dad married? No, but we are thinking on it.

Are you guys going to keep me? If you want us to, its your choice.

What's your favorite T.V. show? Pretty Little Liars

I took the paper and ripped it out. Then, I gave her the notebook back. "Can you take this down to dad?" I asked. She nodded and walked downstairs. I put the paper in the drawer in my nightstand. After a while, mom came back with the notebook. Dad answered the questions I asked about what he likes to do and everything. Mom left and came back with Royalty in her arms. She sat her down beside my bed. "Hi, Royalty." I said, getting down on my knees. "Hi Maddy." She said with the most adorable voice I've ever heard. "Sister." She said touching my shoulder and giggling. I noticed that she had dimples too. What is it with my mom and guys with dimples? "You girls ready?" My dad asked, walking into my room. "Ready for what?" I asked. "To go shopping." He replied. "One sec." I said. I already had on my levi jeans and my plain blue t-shirt. I put on my white converse and walked out. "Ugh, yeah. Miss Maddy is about to get a makeover." My mom said as I walked out to the car. "My adoptive parents spent all the money they had on cheer for me." I said. "You're a cheerleader?" My dad asked. I nodded. "Aye, that's my girl." He said as we got into his limo. "This is crazy." I said. "What is?" My mom asked. "All this. I went from a trailer house to a two story house. A small town to a big one. Barely making it to rich. Just wanting to meet Ariana Grande and I find out I'm her cousin." I explain. "Like I said, get use to it cause this is who you should've been all along." My dad said. It was quiet for a bit, then I remembered. "Oh, yeah. I have cheer camp the first week of July. I want to come back right after though." I say. "Deal." My mom and dad say at the same time. I picked out expensive clothes and shoes. Then, Mom took me to get my hair done. Then, my nails. I got a face mask treatment. It felt amazing! This is gonna be the best summer ever. When we finally got home, it was almost midnight and Royalty was already asleep. I walked upstairs to my bed room. I took the contacts from my old phone and transferred them to my new one. Then, I tested my girls back home.

MaddyWasHere: Hey girls. It's Maddy. I miss you guys, but it's awesome here. I'll be back for cheer camp. Ariana Grande is my cousin!

I put my new phone on the nightstand and fell asleep. Ugh, I never wanna leave.
