How do we make a living?
Shifting moods
Feeling deprived
Untold pleasures denied
Norms we took for granted.
Giving us grief
Reported escalating numbers
Lives and well-being
Of patients and front liners.
News and politics
Businesses closing
Social distancing protocols
We need that vaccine.
I think of things both big and small
The bills, the meals, the chores
How that easy open can
Isn't easy to open at all.
Masks and alcohol
Now prime commodities
Zoom, TikTok, Net Flix
Entertainment necessities
Online Shopping
A regular habit
Social media
Cant do without it.
In so many ways
Quarantine changed us all
Life redefined
As the new normal.
