I wake with a smile on my face, Caden's arm draped heavily across my waist, my back tucked firmly against his chest, our legs intertwined underneath the think blankets spread across the bed. I sigh, my chest rising high as I lock my fingers with his, the action causing him to stir every so slightly, his lips ducking down to leave a light kiss on my shoulder. His t-shirt that I'm wearing blocks it from meeting my skin, but I still manage to feel it's warmth throughout my entire being.
"Good morning." his voice is husky and deep, managing to sound ever so sexy at this early morning hour. To my ears, the sound is nothing short of perfection.
"Morning." I mumble, turning around in his grip to face him, my lips finding his in a quick kiss, the giddiness of finally being with him still not completely faded. I'm more alive than ever, and it's not even ten o'clock yet. I love it.
"I don't want to get up." he whines, his hand tightening around mine as he holds it up to the light that's shining through the window, inspecting them as he traces small circles over my knuckles, a sleepy smile on his face as he does so.
"We don't have to get up quite yet." I giggle, the smile on my face broadening as I look at him, the calmness that has overtaken him shining a whole new light on the Caden I know. He's looks so different, but I know he hasn't changed one bit. He's just letting me into the deeper side of him. It's a little weird, to just have this new connection all of a sudden, a new closeness that I didn't allow before, but it's a good sort of weird. As a matter of fact, it's quite possibly the best type of weird there ever was or will be. It's perfect. Sure, I still need to get used to it, and that'll take some time, but I wouldn't change a single thing about it.
I'm not sure how long we lay there. Maybe five minutes, maybe a half hour, but we don't dare say a word. Caden just holds me against him, his lips almost never straying from the top of my head, his hands rubbing up and down my arm as I trace my fingers along his chest, both of us needing to always be in contact with the other.
Last night was amazing, if I'm being honest. Caden, he didn't push me like a lot of guys would've, but instead made me feel like whatever we were doing, that was enough. At the same time though, all I want is more. More kisses, more time. More of him. Just more.
"I'm hungry." I mumble, my head angling up so that I can look Caden in the eyes, a lazy expression gracing all of his features.
Is it possible for a guy to luck cute and sexy at the same time?
"Then I'll make you breakfast." he mumbles back, slowly untangling himself from the blankets, trudging his way in to the kitchen, his fingers running through the wild strands of his hair as he walks. I trail behind him, my head still groggy as I take a seat at the table, my head resting tiredly in my hands. Even though I got a great nights sleep, there's just something about waking up that always makes me feel tired, like no amount of sleep will ever be enough for my body.
Caden plays Of Monsters And Men softly from his phone as he cooks, probably having downloaded on of their CD's on to his phone recently. That's his thing. Whenever he likes an album, he'll immediately download the entire thing on to his phone, playing it on repeat for about two days, swearing it's the best thing he's ever heard. But then he'll find another band, or another really good album, and the cycle will repeat all over again. I have to say though, this is definitely a good choice. They're a really good band; one of my favorites, actually.
I sing along in a mumble, my words muffled by my hands that are still covering my face, trying to hide away from the world in hopes that I can go back to sleep. Unfortunately, it doesn't work out very well, because a few minuets later Caden is setting a plate in front of me, a now cooked frozen waffle and a small pile of scrambled eggs piled on to it. I grin at him, taking the fork out of his other hand and digging in.
