Chapter 15 - [October 23rd]
I parked on the street, a few buildings away from the place Rick picked. I spotted him exiting his Range right in front of me. My smile was automatic. He glided over to my vehicle totally unaware of his attractive presence. Rick had the preppy look going on with a navy polo. As he pushed his cellphone into his jean pocket I caught a glimpse of the tattoo of Rocky's initials on his tight muscular bicep.
Good gosh I needed to get laid.
After months of driving to Massachusetts, Rick finally traveled to my state. That drive back and forth during the week for Rocky was putting a beating on my car. Rick coming to Connecticut was the one condition for us to go out again. I'll admit he didn't have to beg nearly as hard. There was something about cuddling that lowered my defenses.
Like a gentleman, he opened my door and helped me out. I stored my car keys in my bra.
"Hey Sweets."
"Hi," I beamed, accepting his welcoming embrace. "What happened? You only texted twice all day," I asked once we pulled away. He slung his arm around my shoulder after I closed the car door.
"Stupid work shit. And the drive was hell." We casually strolled down the sidewalk to wherever we were going. "I don't want to think about it anymore. How was my princess today?"
"Amazing." My smile widened, remembering how well behaved Rocky was in the morning. When I picked her up from Elaine's yesterday afternoon she had a little attitude about not being able to wear lipstick. But this morning she woke up excited and ready to play. So that's what we did until I dropped her off at Tay's condo a half hour ago.
"Whoa. You've never said that before." He chuckled.
"I know. I was surprised-"
No
Hell No
Oh hell No! I stopped walking and crossed my arms.
"Elle, come on don't be like that."
"Rick," I groaned, stomping my foot. "Why is he here?"
"Think of it as a double date. I've been telling him for months that we would hang out the next time I was in state."
I took unenthusiastic steps towards Rick's best friend, Jeff, who was standing next to a red BMW with a blonde bimbo on his arm. I didn't actually know the girl so there's a chance she wasn't a bimbo.
"Dude!" Jeff pushed off his car and girl to grab Rick in a bro hug. "If I knew it would take pussy to bring you to Connecticut I could've hooked you up long time ago."
Ignoring him, I shook hands with blondie and introduced myself. "Elle? Cool name. Like Elle Woods?" Lord help me. "I'm Selena."
"Nice to met you." I stood near her awkwardly while Rick and Jeff gushed like schoolgirls about something skateboarding related. That topic was way out of my area of expertise...and incredibly boring.
"Are they always like this," Selena asked. I shrugged. Last time I was around the duo they acted similar although being visual opposites. The boys were the same height but Rick had green eyes and brown hair whereas his best friend had blue eyes and blond hair. "Traffic was crazy tonight, right? It took us forever to get here."
Why was this chick trying to make conversation?
"Do you live far?" she inquired.
