Nerves of steel
Emotions a nought
That is what it takes
Whether I have it a not
The cool metal
Heavy in my hands
Do I have the nerve
Do I really dare
The guy trembled
In pure fear
In the darkness I waited
The time is drawing near
My heart pulsated
With unknown speed
Can I really do it
Is my heart really here
Pointed it was
Straight at him
My hands trembled
More than they have ever been
My mind knew
my heart protest
It was tearing me apart
So my heart and me part
Emotions fled with it
Nerves went calm
Never would I again
Feel that this is wrong
Just a moment it took
My heart turned to ice
Just a pull of the trigger
Was all he took to die
Blood all over
I wiped my hands clean
Harsh reality hit
It was really not a dream
My feelings lost
Along with the bullet
My soul took off
An empty gun a lifeless man
I stared at the scene over again
my life changed
It would never be the same
A life was taken
A soul was gone
My heart was empty
And nothing could i feel again
A wipe of the gun
I walked away
Not once turning back
Never again
The man forgotten
The cash was paid
The next kill would be easy
As will all kills again
