A single wish,
Just one simple wish,
That is all that he would give,
That one wish I gave up to live.
I wonder what I would have done,
If I had that one wish he gave for fun.
What would I have wish for,
Would I wish for more.
A dream of world peace,
Would be a dream no more.
All the gold i want,
All the gold I would get.
The many homeless people,
Would have one not to forget.
Immortality may be on my list,
Defying life and death it really is.
Would I use this wish for good or evil,
Or would I use this wish at all.
So I continue to wonder how life would be,
If that one wish would return to me.
But sometimes I am glad that it was not so,
That that one wish that I had to throw.
If you ask me if I were to have one wish,
I wonder how it is meant to be.
