After stripping the life source from my possessed body, the demon went into a full blown seizure.
"Sarah! My mom yelled. She knelt next to my body that was spasming out. She looked up looking up at the doctors who rushed in.
"What's happening?" a docter asked. My mom look up at them in tears. I shook my head feeling the tears forming in my eyes. I looked at my hand seeing it become more alive and clear.
"Do something," Jade yelled at them. The doctor ran over to my dying body and did said things that I knew I wasn't going to respond. As my body shook, the demon that was possessing my body started to slowly rise out of my body. The dark aura that covered my body started to lose it hold.
"NO!" I heard the demon scream. The demon tried to claw its way back into my body, but kept getting pulled out, by an unknown force. "I WON'T STUCK HERE!" The demon dove back into my body, stopping my body from shaking. Once again, the demon had full control of my body, but as soon as the body rose, it immediately fell. As I saw the body slowly coming to a stop, I knew then and there, everything I once had was no forever gone. Looking back down at my hand, the fullness of my skin was finally showing. I looked back up to see my mother and Jade down on their knees crying.
"Sarah. SARAH!" yelled Jade. The doctors had to pull her back, but my mother was still on her knees, caressing the old body.
"Sarah," she whispered. When I didn't respond, she let all her emotion free. Crying up a storm, the doctors tried to calm my mother and friend down.
"She in a better place now," one said. Yeah a place between heaven and hell. I still felt the tears, but they didn't come out like they usually would. Instead they stood in place in my eyes, not leaking, not even blurring my vision. I turned my head away not longer wanting to see the scene that stood before me.
"AHHHHHHH!" I turned my head to the source. The demon rose out of my body. Landing on the ground, the demon exposed its true self. Shrounded by darkness, the demon was fully black, its body changing between a human form, to a animal form, and to something I couldn't pick out. The red eyes staring back at me with loathe in them. In a matter of seconds I was pinned against the wall, my neck in the demons hand. The demon squeezed causing me to wheeze. "Look at what you have done." Fire shown in the demon's eye. "I'll know show you the meaning of fear." I closed my eyes knowing this is how I'm going to die. No one can save me.
The gripped tighten, making me zone in and out. My breathe became short and I felt my body go heavy.
"You can now join the other souls in the pits of-" I felt a rush of wind back into my windpipe as I landed hard on the ground. Gasping, I realized I was no longer being held by my neck. Panting I looked up, hand and arms on the ground, and trying to focuse my eyes at the scene in front of me.
A bright light covered the man that stood in front of me with a broad sword in his hand. His brown hair radiated power as he held the demon by the neck. With my vision clearing, I notice his wings spread behind him, the color of white. He had on a knight's armor and was holding the demon high above him.
"You now can join the rest of your friends from where you came," he said. With his sword, he stabbed the demon making the thing scream in agony.
"Purity..." the demon mumbled before dissappearing in a cloud of black smoke. I slowly to rise to my feet. As I rose, I felt myself go lightheaded and stumbled. Someone grabbed me before I could fall and I caught hold of his muscular arm. Looking up, I stared into bright green, heavenly eyes.
"Sarah," he said. I nodded and he help me stand.
"Who are you," I said pressing my hand to my head. He backed away and bowed.
"I am Blake Anderson. An angel. Your guardian angel has sent me to protect you, since she couldn't. Seems to me you have... died." I nodded sadly. Looking back into reality, I saw people lift my body on a gurney and covered my body with a white cover.
"Yeah. It was the only way." I looked towards Blake, his body glowly brightly with light. He smiled and looked at my covered body.
"You made a great sacrifice. A sacrifice that saved thousands of people." I turned towards him, confused. "You have sacrifice your own life to stop a demon that could have deceive and destroyed millions of people. Though the sacrifice was great, you however, payed for most of the effect." He waved his hand towards my mom and Jade. "By losing what matter the most." I felt the tears creeping in my eyes as my heart swelled with sadness. I closed my eyes, but felt a pair of hand underneath my chin. I opened my eyes to stare back at Blake. "Don't cry. Something good would come from this." With that said, he back away from me and near the window. "Don't lose hope, for that's what causes souls to wonder the world." He expanded his wings and turned towards the window. "Oh," he paused and looked back at me, "have faith sister." With that said, he jumped out the window and disappeared.
I looked around and the sadness I felt, slowly faded. Thinking over his words, I smiled. After feeling afraid and scared, I finally felt peace, peace I had with the first time I was with Dustin. His face popped in my head and I smiled. I might have lost one side of my life, but I still have another side. Smiling, I left the room and headed outside into my new world.
