Jace's pov

"Jazz, Ash you guys are coming with me today were going hunting in an old abandoned building." I said. "Okay" they both said at the same time. "Stop!" They said again. "Ugh" they both said. "Would you stop!" Ash said "Sorry" Jazz said throwing up her hands in protest. Clary and I started laughing at them.

Jace's pov

We were walking around the building looking for demons. Ash pulled out her sensor and held it out in front of her. Clary came because she didn't want us three going by our selves. Of course I agreed or she would get mad. Ash's sensor started going crazy when we walked by one door that was closed. She looked at me and pointed to the door, I nodded then she burst through it. We all burst in after her , but we made a very bad decision. Clary and I had arms wrapped around us. We were being pulled over in front of Jazz and Ash who were left standing in the middle of the room. Right in front of them was Sebastian standing with an evil grin on his face. He looked over toward us, "Try to resist my men and you die." He said. "Now, ms Ashlynn I need you to come with me." He said "What makes you think I'd want to go any where with you." She said with a disgusted look on her face. "Have it your way then." He said pulling out a dagger from his weapons belt. He took it in his hand and threw it at Jazz. Clary gasped and I looked at Ash. Her eyes got wide and as soon as the dagger got inches away from Jazz's chest Ash jumped in front of her. The dagger struck Ash in the chest and she fell to the ground with a thud. "Ash!" Jazz screamed and she grabbed a dagger of her own and tried to throw it at Sebastian but he and his men disappeared. I ran over to Ash and pulled the blade out. She had blood running out of her mouth and from her chest flowing out onto the floor. "Dad" she made out weakly. "Shhhh, don't talk." I told her. "Clary make a portal now!" She rushed over to the wall and started to draw the rune. I picked up Ash in my hands and walked over to the portal. I heard Jazz crying as she followed us over to the portal. I looked down at Ash and seen she was starting to die, her pulse was faint. "Don't you leave me." I told her "You stay with me, ok, you stay with me Ash." I told her. She nodded her head faintly, and we stepped through the portal.
