Chapter 18

Jace's pov

Ash has been in her room the past week. I know she's been out hunting and getting food. Every night I walk past her room. She is either sobbing or asleep. She went to Jazz's mourning but stared off into space the whole time. I can't stand to see her this way. I looked over at Clary and knew she was thinking the same thing. She was still in her mourning clothes. I heard footsteps coming through the door. I turned in that direction and seen Ash walk through the door. She sat down and looked at us. She had her hair down and there was dark circles under her eyes. "Where's Blayne?" She asked. We both shrugged. "I'm going to Takis." She said. "Okay here's you some money." I said and gave it to her. She thanked me and left.

At Takis

Ash's pov

When I walked into Takis I seen Blayne in a booth making out with a brunette. I walked over to the booth and kicked them both. "Don't ever come close to me again!" I yelled at him. "What oh uh Ash I can explain." He said. "No baby let me." The brunette said. "Okay honey, Blayne doesn't want your bitchy self kissing him anymore so back off." She said and punched me. I felt blood run down my nose. I grabbed her by her hair dragged her out of the booth and threw her on the ground. I hit her square in the face and then kicked her stomach. I ran all the way home holding my nose. When I got to the institute I went straight to the library. I barged through the doors and they all looked at me. I walked over and handed the money to dad. "Here I didn't use any of it." I said. "What happened to you?" Dad asked looking at my nose. "Blayne was making out with some slut in a booth at Takis, and she hit me." I said. "And of coarse I wasn't going to let her get away with it so hit her back and then I kicked her, nshe's probably bleeding internally right now." I said snickering. My dad was mad and everyone could tell. "Baby don't kill the boy." Clary said. "He knows she just lost Jazz and he's cheating on her! Oh I'm going to get that son of a bi-" Clary interrupted. "Jace!" She said sternly.
