The Meeting

Aiden's Pov

After school I went home to the pack house for alpha training with my dad. We have some stupid meeting with another alpha and because I will be alpha when my dad steps down I have to sit in on this meeting. To say I was unhappy would be an understatement, I really just want to go and see Catherine she so hard to figure out and I want to figure her out.

I walked up to the oak door of my dads office, I could hear my mother laughing at him. I knocked on the door and walked in my dad was on the floor and my mom was in his chair dying of laughter.

"Do I want to know why your on the floor Dad?" I asked he shock his head no and my mom started laughing harder.

"We should go" my dad said giving my mom a playful glare. I nodded and waited for him to lead the way to the meeting room. I always hated this room, it so boring I mean one big table in the middle of the room surrounded by Oak chairs, the walls were also oak wood but most of the pack house had wood walls. I sat to my dads right and his beta Jake brought the alpha and his beta in. there were greetings and we all sat.

"well Alpha Derek, care to tell me why you called this meeting?" My father asked in a formal tone. Alpha Derek looked at my father and than to me.

"well Marcus, I called this meeting because we need to think of the future of our packs" he replied in the same formal tone as my father. For some reason I had a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach, I was not going to like what he was about to say.

"what about the future Derek?" My father prompted him to continue.

"A merger of our packs, of course Marcus, the rouges are planning something and we need to be ready" Derek continued. the feeling in my stomach was making me agitated, causing my father to look at me.

"a merger?" My father asked confused.

"Yes, your son and my daughter shall mate and bring our packs together" I growled loudly. This guy is insane if he thinks I'll mate with anyone who is not Catherine. He glared at me and my Dad calmly stood up.

"Now Derek my son and your daughter have mates out there and I will not force my son to be with anyone that's not his mate" this did not please Derek he glared and angrily stood up.

"than our packs will be at war and will not help you in the fight against the rouges" he yelled

"We do not need your help Derek, you forget we are the strongest pack in the world we do not need you" my dad continued calmly, this was making Derek very mad and he looked at me.

"Well than, I propose a compromise, how about my daughter live in your pack house and the two of you get to know each other" to appease Derek my father agreed but warned that, I most likely will not cooperate since I had already found my mate and wasn't looking for anyone else. Derek left with a look I did not like and would have me worried about his daughter and what they have planed. I just hope this doesn't put my mate in danger, but I already felt that it had.
