Aiden's Pov

I stared at Catherine, she currently sat on my black leather couch trying to process all the information we had given just told her.

"So this is the pack house?" She asked looking up at me and tilting her head slightly to the left, causing my wolf to purr a little. I shook my head at him.

"Yes this is the pack house" I answered her

"So your the Alpha?" I nodded confirming her question.

"SO you can shift whenever you want it's not connected to the moon?" I smiled at her and nodded, so cute all the information she has on werewolf comes from fantasy movies, that have very little truth to them.

"So whats a mate?" I looked at her surprised as we didn't mention mates or anything to do with them.

"Tanner said something about me being the alphas mate" She tilted her head a little more and her face scrunched up in confusion.

"Well, a mate is short for soul mate, the moon goddess pairs werewolf's up with another person, who would suit them and that person is their other half" I explained everything about mates, and the mating process the best I can, blushing for the most part. I watched her process what I said and than she frowned and looked at me.

"so you have a mate?" her frown deepened making my wolf whimper, and I watched Jason sneak out of the room to give us some privacy. 

"I do" I watched her blink and look away from me, "she has the most gorgeous eyes, that i could get lost in" I watched her try to smile a little but failing. 

"I'm happy for you" She whispered out, I sigh and look at her.

"Your my mate Catherine" I watched her head snap over to my direction.

"Me?" I nodded and she smiled a little. I watched as she tried to process everything.

"Need a minute alone?" she nodded so I got up and left the room, closing the door softly behind me, I walked down to the kitchen where Jason and my parents where sitting, they looked up when I entered the room.

"she's processing" I told them, the nodded and I at down.

"Aiden, your father and I were thinking, that we should adopt Catherine like we did Jason, if she wants so that there's no chance of anyone taking her" I smiled at my mom and nodded.

"Only if she wants" I smiled at her and they nodded and we sat waiting for my mate to either reject us all or accept us. Jason and I moved over to the game room and started playing call of duty to distract ourselves as Catherine still hasn't come out of my office. I know we overloaded her with information, but I just want to hold my mate.

I looked up when the smell of Lavender and Strawberries filled the air, my eyes landed on a sheepish looking Catherine. I smiled and watched her walk over and sit on the couch. we waited for her to say something. 

"come on Cat, your killing us" Jason whined as he stared at his sister, she sighed and shook her head at him a small smile tugging at her lips.

"I'm not ready to make any decisions yet" Her eyes landed on me "but I'm not scared of you guys and.....and I don't know" She trailed of we nodded understanding

"Can I add one more thing onto your list?" Jason smiled, she nodded looking tired.

"Aiden's parents want to adopt you, so your out of the system" I saw a small smile grace her beautiful lips and she sighed and nodded a little.

Jason and I played video games for the rest of the night while Catherine watched quietly, I looked over to see that the day had worn her out and that she was fast asleep on the couch, I paused the game and put a blanket on her smiling at how peaceful she looked. 

"don't worry Aiden when she's processed everything, I think she'll stay, and your parents should have no trouble adopting her" I nodded at Jason's reassuring words, I really want her to accept me. Jason turned the Xbox off and I gently picked Catherine up and carried her to my room. I Laid  her down on my bed before going over to the couch to get some sleep myself.
