The morning started as usual but the chaos could be felt. Today the Spanish would be arriving. Me, father and most of the nobles sat and went through our plan one last time, see what would could to make the treaty most in our favour.  They would arrive at 2pm sharp we only had three hours, I had a feeling that today we would not have a spare minute all day at all today. Meaning lunch would be done in the meeting room, then a welcoming ball in the grand hall at 5 and then the next morning will be filled with, lots of work. Mother and Jane would be preparing all the balls and things while I'm stuck here doing all the hard work.

Before I knew it was one and my maids had come to collect me to get me ready for the welcoming of my guests. My maids dressed me in a blue drees that came up to my knees. It was laced at the top and straight body hugging from the waist down. My makeup was natural and I wore my blue heels and of course my Illea emblem pendent.

'Thank you ladies.' I said to my maids and made my way down to the reception. It was 1:58 when I reached the reception. My family was already standing waiting. I took my place next to my father who hand his hand on my mother's back and the other poking and teasing Theo who stood in front of him. I laughed at how Theo would just ignore my father and say 'oh I think there is a wasp king behind me its bugging me awfully. Please Zach be rid of it'

Jane jut stood and laughed and would poke my father in the stomach. My mother just stood there like nothing was happening.

The doors opened and there stood the Spanish royal family and there Nobel men. King Edwards, Queen Charlotte, Prince Stephen, Princess Isabella and Prince Louis the most powerful family in the east and voted hottest monarch two years in a row. It was true hey had genes made of gold they were so stunning and well to die for.

'My good freeing king Edward!' my father exclaimed 'how lovely it is to see you again my old friend' my father went and hugged the king. My father and king Edward go way back they have been friends since they were children and often talk on the phone together.

'As good as it is to see you Maxon. I have missed you my old friend' he said patting my father on the back.

My father took the queens hand kissed it as did king Edwards to my mother. Then came my turn, 'Uncle Edward it has been so long.' He too me into a tight embrace.

'The same can be said. Where has my promise of summer gone?' He detached himself from me. 'You promised to visit this summer Zoe. What Happened?'

'The selection happened Edward' my father called back.

Jane came over to us, 'I see Uncle has forgotten all about me. I must say I did visit you at Christmas and yet I'm the forgot one'

'As am I' said Theo.

Uncle Edward took Jane into a hug and ruffled Theo's hair.

Queen Charlotte came to me and hugged me, 'oh Zoe you manage to get prettier every time we meet.'

'If by prettier you mean more queen like then you are right mother' called Stephen as he walked over to us.  He took my hand and kissed it. 'How grand it is to see you my lady.'

'I wish the same could be said Stephen'

'But is it not a pleasure to see me as it is for me to see you'

The queen walked away to greet my mother.

'Should it be a pleasure to see you Stephen?'

'Why I believe it should. We share such fond memories of each other do we not?'

'We had but now I must admit they somewhat die for me. I a few word'

'Like it is said all rose have thorns to so pick it is a difficulty'

'Father why we have forgotten our manners' I said walking away from Stephen kissing Louis cheek on the way 'why we should escort our guests to their room I'm sure they are tired and wished to rest. If you see it befitting Uncle Edward we can send your lunch to your room'

'That would be brilliant, Zoe' replied the king.

I took Isabella's arm 'well I will escort Isabella we have much to talk about.'

I dropped her to her room and then went to mine to get ready for the ball.

My maids weren't in my room so I took it as a chance to sit at the laptop and catch up on a bit of celeb news. I was scrolling through when I saw Stephens name the headline read;

SPANISH HOTTIE GOT A NEW GIRLFRIEND.

I opened the link and read the report;

The Spanish prince Stephen Edwards Alexzander was seen last night in a local VIP club. He was spotted was a mystery blonde later identified as Chloe's Secrets Angel Marina Gomez, the couple were seen holding hand and sources report that the couple kissed passionately and enjoyed some private time in a room separately.

The prince was rumoured to be dating Princess Zoe Marie Maxon Schreave of Illea two years back in summer. Although nothing was confirmed neither of the two royal families spoke about the matter.

There was a knock on the door

'Come in' I shouted

And in walked Stephen.
