Tara's POV
"Tara! Tara!" The voice was Percy's. I have been given the job to tutor him, as his grades are low. Not that I minded, Percy Jackson was the epitome of gorgeous, with his messy black hair and eyes that were like a swirling ocean.
"Yeah, Percy?" I replied, snapping out of my daze.
"We we gonna start soon?" He asked, lounging on the couch looking slightly irritated. I will admit, I had a bit of a crush on him. We weren't exactly best friends, but we were partly friends, and he always said hi when he walked past me. I never really made a move on him, I mean, he doesn't like me, and I'm not stupid.
"Yeah. We can start now," I replied.
After about twenty minutes of this, Percy groaned louder then he had yet, a habit in which he'd invested plenty of time into in the past minutes. "I'm bored of Math," he stated.
"Okay."
"Can we stop?" He begged, using his puppy-dog eyes that reminded you of a cute baby seal. Unfortunately for him, it wasn't cute enough. Okay, maybe it was, but my grade for Religion relied on his Math grade. I hated Religion, so boring. But my grade is important to me, so I have to tutor him.
"Sure we can stop," I replied.
"Really?"
I smirked at him. "We can... But we won't. "
His face fell, dramatically. "Aw. You had me really excited then, Tara!"
I grinned at him when I heard a female voice call from downstairs, "I'm home, Perce!" The voice sounded too young to belong to his mother, so I wasn't surprised when a blond girl walked into the living room.
"Hey, Annabeth." Percy raised a hand in welcome. "This is Tara, by the way. Tara, my girlfriend, Annabeth."
I wasn't going to pretend that my heart didn't sink like a stone when he called her his girlfriend. But I knew that there wasn't any point in crying or anything, I was never very hopeful anyway. "Hi, Annabeth," I said, half heartedly.
"Hi, Tara!" She replied, grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl.
I turned to Percy as something clicked in my mind. "Percy... Do you live with your girlfriend?" I asked, curiously.
"No. She lives with me," he answered, his eyes not leaving the textbook. You could tell he was only pretending to study, because his eyes had snapped to the textbook the second Annabeth walked in.
"Cool," I said with a smirk. I hadn't failed to notice the lack of bedrooms, and as there was only toe, I was assuming Annabeth and Percy shared a room, much to my amusement. "Hey, Percy. Let me guess, you and Annabeth share a room?"
"You're too smart, Tara," Percy said. "Too smart." I jumped up in my chair at his answer, not that I hadn't been earlier. I was easily bored.
Annabeth's eyes narrowed at me. "Tara... How many parents do you have?"
"One, my father," I replied. "Why do you care?"
"Do you have ADHD?" She asked.
"Yeparoo!" I answered, confused at these personal questions and wondering how she knew these things.
"Dyslexia?"
"Ugh, a little bit as a child. Not anymore."
Annabeth grinned at me. "I think you might want to come with me to a special place."
"Tell me where, or else I might have to dub you Ms Creepy Stalker Lady," I answered, lighting fast.
TIME SKIP
Long story short, Annabeth took me to Camp Half-Blood, where I was instantly claimed as a Daughter of Athena. Annabeth was my half-sister, and Travis and Leo quickly became my BFF's.
I also met my boyfriend, Connor.
No effort, oh well.
